I just installed my missing link, car felt great but I didnt have much of a baseline to compare it to

Empty. did you notice you needed a 19mm socket for the passenger side bolt, but a 21mm for the drivers side?? I was curious why it was like that

Congrats! I really notice it when turning, especially when getting on the freeway at moderate speeds. I think I used a 22mm socket on both sides, they should have been the same bolts for you. What did it say in the instructions? Did you torque the bolts to spec and re-torque them after a test drive? I did it to 100ft lbs.

The front diff is around 100lbs by itself, then you have to factor in the front cv's which weigh around 10lbs a piece, then the front driveshaft, and transfer case. All in all id say its probably around 250lbs. Its not that bad, considering the benefits the 4wd has over the 2wd.

Installed the Missing Link yesterday, took a quick test drive, feels tighter. Need to log some real miles to see difference. Bolts were both 22mm. I would recommend on soaking bolts overnite as recommended in instructions. Install takes from 10 minutes to 3 hours per instructions. I was on the 3 hour side. Bolts were a huge PITA to remove. 10 years salt and winter were not kind. And no, I did not follow the directions and soak the bolts overnite/24 hours.... If not for that, this product couldnt be any easier to install! Thanks again for the link Empty. Never heard of Jackson or the Missing Link before. Seems like a very affordable and decent bolt on.

Glad to hear it worked out. It only took me 10min but I didn't have to contend with the salt and used an impact wrench to remove the bolts. I doused it with PB Blaster an hour before just to err on the safe side.

01silva, been a member @ NPORA. Dont get on there much. Every time I do it makes me want to lift the Pathfinder! Since I already have a lifted SUV, I need to keep the Path close to the ground. It really handles well, like a Sports Car in comparison.
