ok, so lets sum it up. s15 sr 6 speed will not work, does not use same trans/bellhousing setup as older sr's, ca's, etc.

sr clutch and flywheel do not work.

ka clutch will work on ca flywheel if you drill the pressure plate for extra pins, or just pull the pins out of the flywheel.

and, i believe boost boy said a fwd flywheel will work, and is much lighter, but slightly smaller in diameter.

anything i missed?

How the hello is it that the KA (2.4L) flywheel will work and not the SR (2.0L). Unless they put the bigger flywheel on there to increase the torque? Regardless, A KA lightweight flywheel is much cheaper and eaiser to find then an CA and so are the clutches. Sounds like a plan to me!

I wasn't saying it was wrong jackarse, I was just arguing the logic of having a larger flywheel on a smaller motor. I didn't say that it was wrong. READ SEAN! Hehehehe.

Fidanza doesn't make flywheels for the CA. You'll have to get one from JapanLand. I think Jun makes one.

Fidanza do make them...I've also seen CA18DET flywheel in Australia, but they were only 4kg lighter than stock (but cheap also).Spec promised to make one for CA18DET... Don't know their progress though

I just checked Findaza's site and it says nothing about the CA. It's got ones for the SR20DET, but not the CA. Where did you find ones...

fidanza don't make them, I spoke to a guy from fidanza a while back at the UK Autosport show.I have their catalogue here too.

It's a damn shame.

maybe they will if enough interest is generated, or that they are made aware of a demand?

Problem as with all US companies is that they only supply parts for domestic stuff or very popular stuff. For example someone on SXOC had to send pauter a std rod for them to copy a couple of years back, now they supply them.Perhaps something similar can be sorted with fidanza??I'm not sure what kind of order numbers would make it viable for them though.

just a thought.Mmmm fidanza FWs are cool. :D

Jezz, I think many guys in UK have Fidanza flywheels, or am I wrong? Anyway, Spec would be much cheaper.

I don't think the fidanza model would be too much cheaper than $400; I've seen SR20 ones sold for $439. Shipping may swing the numbers a bit.

no Vetal, no UK CA's have them a few of the S14 (SR) boys have them though.

The cheapest I've seen SR fidanza's for is $350.

The beauty IMO of the fidanza is the replaceable friction faces, paddles munch flywheels so would be damn handy to jsut replace the friction face of the flywheel every time you replace the paddle instead of having to skim the FW.Skimming it ok with stokc FW's as they are 2 a penny, but you don't really want to be skimming your JUN FW too often.

they are $323 in japan (takakaira), not sure what shipping is.

Takakaira says they are 5.4kg, but Jun site says 5.2Kg.
