3" downpipe with divorced wastegate pipe for more than 12" that clears the steering shaft... sweet!

are you guys 100% positive it works? A lot of swaps are placed differently, and Id check to make sure it fits on every swap before buying in.

they are definitely not interchangeable as the engine is moved up between the different mounting options.

something you guys will want to address before you go ahead with this.

Good point.Thats probably why the SS auto crap elbo didn't fit.I've got Top Hat mounts with the SS autocrap mani, no Elbo fits my car.Only ghetto "custom" made fits.

Right now, I'm running stock cast elbow, and factory R33 downpipe. The cast elbow just rests on the steering shaft. So I assume this DP is made with a little more clearence in that area. I think it'll work fine.

Plus, I have to find out somehow. Worst case, I'll dent it slightly. But it'll be 10 times better than what I'm running now.

BTW - Mckinney mounts

If ande is using the same design, then it's meant to clear for a rb20 swap in an s14 using the r32 crossmember. I know because i was the guinnea pig car for it. still have the prototype elbow that rested on the steering shaft. the new one he made for me clears by about a half inch. with nismo motor mounts you're fine, with worn out mounts... good luck. at any rate, he makes QUALITY stuff. i love my screamer pipe although i'd like a recirced pipe in the future.

okay to clear everything up, i have a s14, using the r32 crossmember and the motor mounts, the dp rides on the steering shaft. this dp will clear the steering shaft, if so i want in.

I was running my RB20 in my S13 coupe with the R32 crossmember first, and the stock elbow did not touch the steering shaft. After I got tophat mounts (puts the engine in a very similar location to the mckinney mounts) the stock downpipe touched the steering shaft and I had to grind some material away for it to clear.

So with the R32 crossmember you've got a little more room than a mount kit, but both setups will work with AM Performance's elbow/downpipe. If you've got blown R32 mounts, I can't say for sure. You'd probably want to get new mounts anyway.

Because there's 1/2" of room with the R32 mounts there might be 1/4" or room with a mount kit, which is more than enough.

benjamin, yes this elbow should clear for you. actually it should clear quite well for you as my stock elbow wouldnt even fit on my car. you say yours rests on the steering shaft, mine wanted to go through the steering shaft.

kamin, i have no clue man, roll the dice and get one anyways, if it doesnt work, at least you could have a shop modify it right?or send ande pics so he can make a proper one.

Ande does do custom work, so he would be able to make something to fit.

Although he did tell me that the pipe is interchangeable between R32 RB25's and R33 RB25's. Series 1 or 2. If you could send me a picture of your setup I would be able to tell you for sure. You can email it to me at [email protected]

Thanks for the participation guys, it looks like we'll have enough people to send payment tomorrow. I'll let you everyone participating know via email.

**** i have a great downpipe that was made for me, im trying to look out for the best interests of my members

this guy isnt an advertiser and has no idea if it will fit all swapped RB cars like he is claiming.

im thinking about pulling this GB.

Sorry I offended you Kamin. I really didn't mean to.

I'm not trying to claim that this will fit all swapped RB cars. It has been tested on an RB20 in an S13 with tophat mounts, and an RB20 in an S14 with the R32 crossmember. Also I'd like to say that I'm not making any money off this, I just wanted to get a better price and suggested a group buy to AM Performance. He agreed to give everyone a better price for a group buy so I posted it here and on 240sxforums.

Ande at AM Performance assured me that there is no difference in clearance between R32 and R33 RB25s, so I see no reason why it would not work for any RB20 or RB25 with the skyline crossmemeber or a mount kit. If you have custom mounts that put the engine in a different location, custom turbo manifold, or aftermarket turbo this elbow/downpipe will not work.

I hope you don't pull this thread because I'd like to get the downpipe at the discount price, which I can't do unless I get 4 other buyers for sure.

Also I'd like to say that there is no difference in turbo location between the RB20 and the RB25. Both engines use the same turbo manifold and downpipe so the AM Performance downpipe will fit either engine and clear the steering shaft with the R32, R33, or tophat mounts. It has not been tested to my knowlege with McKinney mounts, but both mounts claim to put the engine in the same location so there shouldn't be a problem.

If I am incorrect feel free to correct me.

What we are are trying to say is EVERY car is different. An S13/RB20 with Tophat mounts will clear sometimes, other times it wont. Same with any other combo.

What Kamin is trying to say is it is VERY unlikely that every single setup will work with this dump pipe, and it shouldnt be imnplied that you are good to go no matter what if you buy this.

I had my same motor with the same mounts in two seperate zenki S13's, and the stocker cleared in one, and didnt clear in the other.

If it is anything like the SSAC dump pipe, its just as hit or miss as the stock piece.

Is that even possible?? I mean to me it dont make sense since its the same **** in the same car. Unless you did something wrong???? I dunno. Just doesnt make sense to me or probably someone else. I'll sleep on it.

I am interested to the max. I want to buy in on this. My stock downpipe is dented in horribly by about an inch and a half deep and about 8 inches in lenght. Its to say... restricting flow? The construction around my house said no to my downpipe and owned it.

The only reason I'm doing another group buy is there was so much interest. I already purchased mine, so it doesn't matter much to me.

If you want Kamin I will wait till everyone got theirs, contact them to see how it went, and post the results before taking anyone else's orders.

I still don't see why I have to be an advertiser when it's not really my products I'm selling. All I'm doing is offering a discount to the forum members. I thought that was a good thing.

i understand what you are doing, trying to pass on a good deal but basically the way it works is those banners on the right, those people PAY to advertise here. by doing a group buy you are undercutting them. NICO is the biggest nissan message board on the PLANET, it costs a motherfuc*ingsh*tload of money to pay for hosting. if we dont have advertisers, NICO goes away.

thats the NICO side of me. the real life version of me KNOWS a downpipe that fits on a car with a mount kit is too short to fit on one using a skyline xmember and mounts. the engine sits 1.5 inches more forward.

please wait to get results from people before doing any other GB's.
