i kno people hate on cheap wheels but honestly, ill never be able to afford them on my budget...i found some nice, and i use the term loosly, wheels that i think would work on a 240...i intend to do a s15 front end soon

1st; the rota svn in flat or yamaha black on my white 240? could be nice

[IMG][/IMG]

or 2nd, some gunmetal sportmax 006, which would be nice on a white 240 as well, but idk how theyd flow with the lines of the car

[IMG][/IMG]

staggered set up on both 18x9/10 on the rotas 18x8.5/9.5 on the sportmaxs

i know its a matter of opinion but thats y im asking

thanks in advance

I like the 1st one more. Im not a big fan of knock offs.

If you have stock motor.... i say stay below 17s. Because anything bigger than 17s will lag you a lot.

but w.e float your boats man ... GL

If you don't do the s15 front than you'll have money for NICE wheels.

Cheap wheels + front end conversion = FAIL

i knew someone would say it, but when its all finished ill be happy intead of sacrificing the visual aspects. idk like i said its all prefrence

and as for 17 on stock motor, i got 17x7 racing hart c4's all around (got them from previous owner with car) and my sr with only a few bolt ons is ripping apart those tires...

Ahem, my 240 came with the silvia conversion. And just because the wheels were cheap price wise doesn't mean they are "cheap."

SSR's are NOT Sportmaxes. Don't even try to compare them.

the SVN's look better IMO, but after looking at Rota's site none of the offsets are decent, and you say your doing a s15 front??? im assuming that your gonna get some cheap "conversion" fenders so they will probably be wider than stock which will only exascerbate the already sunken look, save up and do EVERYTHING the right way, OEM steel fenders grafted to you stock fenders above the wheel well, an OEM bumper and lights along with hood and core support, then NICE wheels , Works, SSR's, Volks, any of those with good width and offset

wheels are wheels in my mind as long as they look good and perform their purpose it don't matter

OP, it doesn't really matter if the wheels are cheap, what matters is how they fit. Sportmaxes and Rotas can look just as good as wheels 3x more expensive. I'm not hating on the wheels just because they're cheap.

Anyways, it's just that you kinda come off as the typical fanboy looking at rotas and sportmaxes and want the s15 conversion.

i dono...if you see cheap wheels in person you can tell. they look cheap (obviously) and crappy. i was terribly disappointed upon seeing rotas, sportmaxes in person especially the types with "gunmetal" or "gloss black" with lip.

Rota's website doesn't list a 10 inch wide SVN. And the lowest offset SVN is 18x9+30 in 5 lug. That is not going to fit up front if you have coilovers. Z brake clearance looks questionable, too.

Keep searching for better options and try not to buy wheels knowing that they'll need spacers to fit (like most XXR's).

I'd like to give a suggestion from my experience. I had to get sportmaxxes on my wheels, because they were the same as brand new tires, and I got brand new tires with them. Deal? For godsakes hell no(now). Sportmaxxes are extremely heavy, and I regret it everytime I take the damn wheel off...ugh. I'd say do it right(wich doesn't mean, do it expensive).

As stated before, fitment is everything. Drop the frontend, at least for now. Just get some good offset wheels. Wow, would I do it over again. But I am a person who learns the hardway. But just take the suggestions in, and do what you would like to do.

Forget the hating, but don't forget to be open minded.....and choose what's right for you. It IS your car...

these are the svn's if anyone is curious, ive seen them in person in the flat black in these sizes and offsets and i am a fan.

and a** for fitment, +20 offset all around sounds like it would fit but i coulf be mistaken
