Okay...problem solved (I think).

All I did was remove the left front turn signal bulb, rub the contacts on my shirt and reinstall install the bulb.

Everything is back to normal and blinking at the correct speed. :gotme

Thanks for the help. Great forum! :dblthumb:

After market relays are not as durable/reliable as OEM parts. You may find that you will have to replace the after market relay a couple of times. Just not worth the hassle.

I wished I had seen this post first. It would've saved me over an hour of my time. I removed an after market Curtis Trailer Wire Harness that I seen mentioned in another post and still had the fast blinking turn signal issue. The fast blinking turn signal started on the right side first and about 3 months later the left side started. I then simply swapped front turn signal bulbs after reading this post and problem solved - thanks! The connections were clean so I didn't have to do anything besides swap bulbs.

Yeah...amazing. It worked for me and I'm glad it helped you. ;) Since I posted that in March, 2015 the turn signals have worked fine!

Sometimes if messing with the bulb changes the problem it's the socket. The terminals over the long term overheat to warp wider apart and then it acts like bulb is bad when it's not. It's just not making contact. Simply using some sort of a pry tool like a sharp point and then pry the terminals closer together to make them tighter on the bulb and the problem is solved. I've had to do it on my Versa before and also went even further with one and used cardboard behind the contacts to shim them positively tighter. Problem again gone forever.

How you can say swap the bulbs and fix it.

My wife and kids know if a turn signal blinks really fast there’s a bulb that’s not working. So they’ll let me know. As amc49 points out either it’s the contacts in the socket or the bulb. One of the simple nearly universal indicators of a problem on your vehicle.

But that's not the problem discussed above. Here we had fast blinking turn signals but no bulbs burnt out or not making contact. Front and rear turn signals both blinking fast. Take the bulb out and reinstall the same bulb and both blink normal. :werd:

So both bulbs are working, just blinking fast? That still speaks of a connection in the socket problem.

Yes, just removed front bulb, wiped contacts on shirt and replaced. All okay. :dblthumb:
