Survival mode looks like it could be a lot of fun.

Survival mode has got me playing again. My friends and I are working on medals for each of the stages. So far we're doing pretty good, even with having to pug a spot or two. There's also no feeling like having 3 tanks assault your 'safe' spot while you have someone trapped by a hunter and another getting smoked.

We've stopped playing hardest mode difficulty for the campaign mode and pretty much do versus and survival exclusively.

This game rocks. I'll be on XBL this evening if anyone wants a zombie mashing buddy. I have already seen how bad some team mates can be. Random PUG the other day I got pinned down by a hunter and he proceeded to gnash me to death for a full 10 seconds while two of my "teammates" just kind walked around in the room immediately next to me shooting the occasional straggler zombie. I bought this game in december and have yet to play it. I Hope its not all that bad. See what happened was: I bought the game thinking my dated Radeon card would play it. It played HL2: episode 2 ok on the low resolution, i figured that L4D was based on the same engine, it would run. WRONG. I have an updated graphics card on the way. Within a few days I hope to be online playing L4D. I hope to blast some zombies with some of you guys, like minister of doom, its hard for me to find people I know that are good at video games, that are fun to play multiplayer with.

left4dead is a good game though i gotta agree its not a GREAT game but if your a fan of zombie killing fun then you will enjoy it although it is way way over the top its still a fun game but i gotta agree not worth the $60 price tag more like $30

Resident Evil is more awesome. Left 4 Dead really sucks!There is no thrill in this game, I don't know why this game is also at the top 20 games this year. Believed me, if Biohazard 5 (Resident Evil) will be released on PC wow, horror games will be dead.

I doubt it. PC gamers and console gamers have different expectations of games. I think if you talk to PC gamers you'll find mostly the exact opposite opinion of what you express: Biohazard is crap. L4D isn't top-20 thanks to the console crowd. It's top-20 thanks to Steam's ubiquity and the popularity of FPS games amongst PC gamers.

Plus, on the PC, Biohazard has REAL horror games to compete with. Like System Shock 2.

I have it on the 360 and also for the computer and the computer one is alot better if you have a nice machine.but both games are hella boring and are extremely repetative.

The PC version of Left 4 Dead is leaps and bounds better than the 360 version. I dont think its even fair to compare them.The PC version has like a bazillion maps as the SDK have been out for so long.The console version is 4 Stages long....thats itThe PC version has a nigh unlimited number of stages.Go to L4Dmaps.com and L4Dmods.com and the PC version almost never gets old.

Also if you are into modding the L4D SDK is on Steam, and its pretty deep.

I really wish L4D2 was just a massive patch instead of a whole new game, i believe they could have patch L4D to become L4D2 without a whole new game.Plus then we could play the L4D maps using the new AI Director.
