i really hate losing things in my own house. there aren't too many places for s*** to hide, and it's not like i have a bunch of stuff to rummage through in order to find lost items. right now i'm up to 2 brand new smoke detectors, and now my zippo. both are really annoying things to lose because i need to install those detectors to please the inspector that's coming soon. and i really like my zippo and can't really get another just like it without going back to puerto rico.

partial success. zippo has been located. i thought i took it out of the exploder for refueling. i overlooked it in the little cubby where it was hiding underneath a black note pad (zippo is also black). the search for the missing smoke detectors continues.

Rooted yet? AOKP JB Build 1 is pretty nice.

Happy Saturday, Ben!

Rooted now, but running stock ROM. It's Sense-free JB, which is all I really want. I'll wait until something super-stable comes out before I switch.

AOKP Build 1 is super stable (I've been on it since last week sometime). So is the Euroskank build of CM10. Haven't tested any of the CM10 nightlies on it, however. Rooted stock = no notification shade toggles, which hurts (though admittedly not as much as no toggles on a phone).

Yeah I really miss the notification toggles.

Flashing AOPK Build 1 as we speak.

I really hate that the stock ROM kills CWM on reboot.

TWRP > CWM. Also, AOKP allows for Nav bar customization. Hello search button!

If you do change to TWRP at any point, don't go with the latest version (2.2.1.4) I think. Nothing sticks on flashing and I don't think it'll back anything up either.

I know how that goes. I've really enjoyed getting mine set up just so. Did you say you prefer apex launcher? Nova comes standard on aokp, but I put apex on instead (mostly because I had already purchased the pro version). Made it a lot easier when I was flashing nightlies before getting to aokp job build one.

Same here. I don't dislike Nova, but I already have the pro version of Apex, so I went with that. Plus I'm already very familiar with its options, so I know exactly how I like it set up.
I do wish Apex had pinch-out for recent apps like Nova Pro does.

I have SO MANY games downloading right now thanks to Humble for Android purchases. Spacechem's among them.

Also:
I think it's a little silly that the stock ROM doesn't even have the OPTION for landscape-oriented home screen. I know the 7'' screen isn't as big as some tablets, but it's still well-suited to landscape use.

I agree. I do a lot in landscape. At least these custom ROMs make that possible.

And I'm afraid to find more games. I don't put this thing down enough as it is...

I also find this a lot easier to type on than the iPad. Honestly, this form factor is a lot better.

Yeah, portrait keyboard is PERFECT for fast thumb typing.

I definitely prefer the 7'' form factor. 10'' is neat but 7'' is the sweet spot. Big enough for media, small enough for portability, great for typing on.

Glad you made it out man, was good to have met you!

James, Kelly and I got into A LOT of trouble after you left.

We all ended up getting kicked out of the first bar we went to after your departure because we opted not to pay the cover charge. Then we proceeded to drink many, many more beers. I got sick (but didn't hurl). We saw an AWESOME band called "Eskimo Brothers" and went to the 24 hour diner and ordered (as well as ate!) every appetizer on the menu. Along with more drinks. Somewhere around 2:30am we staggered back to the hotel. We woke with only marginal hangovers and decided to get BBQ again at Memphis BBQ Co in Horn Lake- definitely go there. Drove the rest of the way back to Jackson and had nap time. Then we shot guns and I got on an airplane with heavily delayed flights. Good weekend all around.

It's amazing, isn't it? It's not just the puzzles themselves, it's the feeling that you've always done it the sloppy way, and if you could just think a little bit harder you could figure out a better way to do it.

Very few games have ever made me feel stupid like Spacechem does.
