I wouldn't say it functions poorly, it just has limited resources that kink up the rest of the works. It worked fine before I became a serious non-OEM app user.

I've already gotten rid of all the bloatware and it helped make the device stable and reliable, now all I want is a measure of speed.

I think I just have less patience for issues when it comes to a phone. It really annoys me if I need to make an important call for example and the phone freaks out, goes into boot loop or severe lag. If it were a cheaper phone, I could understand it, but this was a top of the line phone when I bought it. It still has pretty solid specs even now, but it still lets me down on a regular basis.

I've never had a boot loop with the phone, but with my Streak 7 I accidentally used the wrong driver one time, whoops! I got lucky with that one since I was still able to reboot into recovery...

I used to have lag like crazy before root, tho. After the bloated BS came off, I had the ram dip down past the halfway point and finally got some uninterrupted, non-laggy, no sudden reboots use out of it. That's why I'm happier!

I just bought a decently rated ram manager just now and it seems to help with multi-tasking. It has a custom setting feature that I'm going to have to acquaint myself with since I'm not a developer or anything...

Bloatware sucks. That is one reason I will praise everything that is a Nexus branded device. Just pure, plain Android from the beginning with no useless crap.

I had to remove all of the bloat from my HTC EVO I had before this phone, because it had a ton of crap loaded on it. That phone was a pile of junk for sure compared to my current one.

I wouldn't refer to everything Google develops as non-bloatware or anything. Half of the crap I deleted was theirs also. The rest was useless crap like a "daily diary" and other little girl's apps like that...

Morning fellas. No real solid games to watch yesterday. Colts game was the most exciting thing I saw.

Also, damn you Kaepernick!

No way! How silly is that? I wonder if its in the new terms and conditions or something?

For your next status you should write, "IM SUCH A f*** RETARD, I'M GOING TO END IT ALL TONIGHT" and see if they send messages to your family/friends.

You should say you retarded your timing to pass emissions and see what that gets you.

Also, all it means is that whomever you called a retard reported your post.

Mornin guys.

I have not purchased GTA 5 yet. I haven't even finished GTA 4 yet. I guess I must be getting old, because I feel like I have better things to do most days than to sit in front of a video game all day.

Yup, thats just how I see it.

But for some folks its their hobby. They play any and every game possible, just for kicks. They probably think we're stupid for changing our own oil and replacing our own wheel bearings or going for a drive for pleasure.

BUT- GTA does sound entertaining. You finally get to fly that goddamned jet they've been taunting us with since Vice City! I might buy the game in a few months, when it gets cooler. Only because its the type of game that you can sit down, play for a half hour to an hour at a time doing a mission or two, save, and turn off again. It'll end up never completely finished, but at least it'll have served its purpose.

Oh don't get me wrong, I still enjoy games and it looks awesome. My wife is one of those people though that will sit in front of the TV for hours trying to beat a game. I used to be that way, but now since we have a kid I find myself spending my free time working on other projects instead.

I actually need to refinish some furniture this weekend. I'm sure that sounds real exciting to most people!

Refinishing furniture always sounds easier than it is. Same with painting. All prep, very little actual work.
My bed has been squeeking lately. Unsure if its the floor under the bed or the side rails/headboard. Haven't been very motivated to take it apart to find out. I've also been putting off spraying the door hinges with PB blaster (and thats EASY!).

I always put off house projects, but I try to get to them more than I used to.

We have a desk in our office that I want to refinished with the "distressed" look, because its scratched and worn in places already. It'll look similar to this when it's done:

The actual colonoscopy isn't that bad,it is just the prep that sucks. :chuckle:
