Turn on car, it beeps.
Screen says "Check AdvanceTrac"
I drop a gear, turn corner, apply pressure to accelerator pedal.
Revs climb, inside rear squeals, car rotates predictably around centerline.
AdvanceTrac successfully checked.
It's disabled just as I prefer it.

Stuff that's broken only matters if I cared that it worked in the first place.

Starts praying for ABS malfunction.

I have the very common E39 ABS problem. The ABS control module craps the bed and takes traction control with it. So I could either spend $350ish for a used rebuilt module or keep my $$ and ignore the lights entirely. Since my 540 brakes better than any car I've ever owned and I think traction control is for people named Nancy, I'm perfectly happy with those lights.

Right there with ya Chris.

I got new toys today! I need to redo my suspension diagrams. GK changed their mind to a 40mm drop instead of a 30mm drop at some point, and I didn't catch it.

MY GOD that sounds MAGNIFICENT. HOLY s***.

Those were definitely a couple of very slow laps. Every time Rossi even THOUGHT about braking, the a**-end decided it wanted to be in front. 'Course the other pedal had similar effects. There were some very "strategic" corner exits in there. I wonder if those were period tires or modern Radial duplicates.

Heard something about #6mil

Realized I have no life... Drinking a beer and relaxing before another huge day at work. Aaron is apparently visiting in some way shape or form on Thursday... Finally! Some NICO peeps up in my hood!

Eh... a lot of hit and miss. Have a good job with lots of potential for my future, but so far the future won't come... patience is wearing thin. College degree now in hand... but no idea what to do with it. Haven't raced a car legitimately in about a year now... that's probably the most depressing thing. Rent, bills, and other expenses still piling up... yet still trying to pay off my way up Pikes Peak from last year. Good probability of landing a new job... but the company has decided to lay low for the moment... both positions were to be filled at the first of the month... both positions still open with regional managers filling the slots for the time being. Another friend form school has passed away. I'm now a local celeb of sorts with my ability to steal allotments of rare craft beers from big outlet stores and promote the liquor industry as a whole... but I also got pulled over and accused of a DUI in Denver about a month ago... I will almost 100% sure get out if it due to BS that happened as well as my bloodwork not being processed in a timely manner... IF I can afford the lawyer... Which right now I have no idea how to do.... aaaaaand... that's about it. Life sucks... but its kinda cool at the same time. Hitting the lotto would solve all... but... ya know. OH! Yeah... awesome GF, too. In case you wondered.

Well, at least the girl is working out for you. ;)

Seriously though, sorry to hear about all that other s*** going on. Life sucks sometimes. Hope you beat the DUI charge. That could limit the hell out of your options if you don't.

Greg got any connections? LOL

No, for real, though. There were a lot of discrepancies with it that the lawyer pointed out on our initial meet-up, and on top of that, the lab processing my bloodwork is shut down. The results won't be done in time for my court date. Not really sure what that is going to mean yet.

No jailtime... no fingerprints... no photo taken... only a night in detox. Still have my License in hand and everything. All very confusing.

Blood doesn't lie, I hope you were within the legal limit. The judge COULD postpone your hearing until the results come back. It'd be nice if he/she just dismissed it though.

Well... once again... a lot of discrepancies, but the main things we're looking at now is the lack of evidence and right to a speedy trial. If it goes beyond that, we start digging into all of the smaller crap they screwed up when pulling me over. BUT... I need my damn lawyer! And I don't have the $1500 up front he needs. Meh.

Ouch! That's a lot! or maybe not. I've never had to hire one before so I'm not exactly sure about the going rate for an attorney

Anywho... I'll keep you posted. I'll try to pop in more often but my 60 hour labor filled weeks are starting to get to be the death of me. Mostly my back. Let me know if you find the winning lotto numbers..... Or some sort of Illuminati friend of Greg's out this way that deals in car driving lessons and/or free beer.... or dirty deeds.

Later!

Morning fellas. This summer has been crazy. Haven't even had time for one auto-x aside from Carlisle this year; its pretty lame. Even got some proper suspension bits for the Miata now and haven't got the opportunity to test them out correctly!

Hope ya'll have been having a good (hot) summer.

You'll be in driving distance(ish) to hang out! Depending on where in PA you're going.

Is she going to be super retired? Like, not going to work and you'll have a pension to raise kids and ship 'em off to college retired?
Do you get to remain stay at home dad?
