Afternoon Ben! How's things?

I miss getting to check in here regularly. The new job limits my posting during the week, unless I do it from my phone like I am right now.

Been busy as a one legged man in an a** kickin' contest, Chris. How are things going on your end?

Due to my work load i haven't been able to check in much myself.
All this work is messing up my NICO time. :squint:

I'm doing well. Just staying busy with work and getting ready to start school again soon. Other than that, my free time gets eaten up with car maintenance, house stuff and family time.

I've been slowly trying to fix the little things on the Maxima and bring it back to its former glory. I managed to scrape the front lip pretty bad yesterday on a curb though, so I guess I'll need to paint that now. Oh well - it needed to be sprayed anyways due to some spider cracking in the paint.

Someone is pooping.

Speaking of, is it acceptable to brush your teeth whilst on the can? Or is that gross?

Sup Adam.
Yes it is acceptable to brush teeth while on the can. Just wipe with the opposite hand. Since someone is going to come up with "ohhh fecal matter blah blah blah," Theres more fecal matter on your tv remote (which most folks never clean) and its commonly one of the last things folks touch before going to sleep.

In other news, it is also acceptable to brush teeth, take a leak, and have shampoo in your hair at the same time while you shower.

Given some of the music posted last night and into this morning, I gift these songs that I've been rocking out hard to while driving the truck (may have posted some of this in past Learned'd threads, but they're gone now):

Just be careful not to drop the bottle.
On top of that being alcohol abuse it can cut your feet if you aren't careful.

Yeah. I'm usually pretty careful about that. A shower is about the perfect amount of time to consume one beer.

I wish I had seats in my shower! That sounds awesome, as many times I'm too tired to stand up and shower, so I don't. It would make staying clean on the weekends easier...

Just got back from the doc. I scared everyone in the place as I literally screamed from the pain of getting a cortisone/numby drug shot inbetween the joints on my foot. I tried to hold it in for like 10 seconds, but it hit so hard it made me physically ill.

I actually drove the stick car there, too. Bad idea, because it felt like dying to drive home after that. I can"t wait till we can get robot bodies...

I've only done it a handful of times, the only time I really had to just sit down was after being up for 72 hours...

School for? Just curious./quote

I rarely post while on the can at work, I usually just lurk. There are days we're really slow, like today, so I can post from my phone. I don't post from the work computer because they don't like Facebook and ect, so I figure they might not want me post whoring on NICO either :gotme

I don't think I would brush my teeth while on the can either. Don't see anything wrong with it, but not something I feel the need to do myself. I usually just read if anything.

As for school - I've been in since last fall, but I took a break over the summer. I'm working on an IT degree right now, which i'm going to get my Associates first, then continue on and get my bachelors.

I enjoy that field a lot, but don't really have much experience. It's just sorta a back-up plan for now, but who knows? If anything, it'll look good on the resume and I may end up switching careers down the road. I enjoy my current job, but after it taking so long to find another job like this, I don't want to go through that again. Hence the back-up plan.

I'm in the same boat. I love going to school, knowing I'm gonna get a piece of paper I can actually use this time afterwards, but god I love having free time.

Chris, roger that. And I can totally respect it. I'm a bit of a nerd, and part of me has wished for a number of years know that I would've enrolled in college for a CS degree rather than a different engineering degree. In fact, I'm starting to sign up for courses on coursera in the computer/coding field. I enjoy tinkering with these things, so why not get more knowledge on them? And, since it's not actually paying to take courses, if I don't have enough time to put into it, I can always back out.

See, that's sorta where i'm at too. I'm a big nerd, in addition to being a car nut, so it was something i've always thought about pursuing. I wasn't able to when I was younger due to many major things changing in my life, so when the opportunity arose again, I decided to take it.

I am having to pay for this, but it's an investment for me. Whether I use it now or not, it'll will still be beneficial to me in the future. I've always enjoyed computers and technology, so it's something that I can enjoy studying too. In my current career, it would do me little to no good to get a degree - you make money in my field by experience and tenure.

I think any kind of extra certification, or training is beneficial for any career though - even if you never use it. It gives you an edge over the typical crowd.

I agree 100%. I'll use any other training at least in my personal life, if not professional.
