Buying a used rotary is kind of like dating a chick with issues leftover from her last bf.

But knowing she can take the abuse is worth it though.

But that's just it, she can't? (the previous BF popped her apex seal, if ya know what I mean... :poke:)

I made a frankenstein of two cars' light stalks to make something work on my car... It was sad to see a RWD Maxima go to waste like that, tho...

DAVE!
Will getting power for my key light from the door chime make it ring slower or anything?
I'm also going to wire in a capacitor if that makes any difference.

I don't think it will, but I r electrical noob.

It probably will make it sound or operate funny with the capacitor. It's easy enough to run a line from the fuse box.

Okies, I'll find another source.

Hmm.
If I tap into the red wire that goes to the ignition, and wire my ground to the door switch, that would work right?
And putting a capacitor on the power side won't mess with things?

Once again, the door switch has no real power. It's just a signal.

If you want the door to be your trigger, then the red should go to the foot light and the black should anchor to the unibody somewhere.

The capacitor shouldn't affect anything if it is put inline only before the light ring you're installing.

S13s aren't cool enough for foot lights. LOL
We just get a chime and the dome light.

You sure there isn't some kind of foot light? Well then, I would find the source for the door chime and solder in a separate parallel wire to it for your light.

Yeah, we don't have foot lights.
I think S14s come with something like that, but not S13s. :\

Thanks Dave, I'll try that. :D

You could also fu*k around with the dome light circuit, one of those wires has a door switch trigger on it...
