I agree, Dave. That sentence I posted contains three of my biggest pet peeves. The sentence as a whole makes absolutely no sense. None. Whatsoever.

Also, how'd the interview go yesterday?

Wow, not only is your network crashing, it's scrambling transmissions. I'll try this again. The word in the above quote is "strong" and not "gay". Hopefully that helps.

Ok, it really was as awesome as you or Chad thought it was.

This is how it went: First, I got flagged coming in the building by security, I had tools in my bag and it's not allowed in Federal buildings, lol.
The staff bailed me out, laughing all the way at me. No big deal tho, I was laughing at myself too.
Then introductions, sh*t talk, waiting for the lead tech to show up.
The manager is a really fine looking black chick.
I am the only white guy.

Next, they send me over to the simulator, and tell me to play it once. The fu*king thing will go upside down, no one told me. I get sick, hold it in like a man.

Immediately after, I am told to fix 4 issues with this other one. Most were simple gearhead problems and pretty easy, but they had old solder, so a connection I made wasn't solid enough somehow... I keep kicking myself for not saying something about the solder. Sh*t, I should have brought my own for all the trouble I went through getting in the building.

Then I had to install a new joystick in the program. Easy, it runs off XP.

Then they ask if I have any questions and they say they only have one other guy interviewing for the position. I'm thinking about slipping the guy a mickey and having him sit it out somewhere now. :chuckle:

They say I will hear next week if I get it. I wonder if I don't if I should pull the race card like a btich... it's almost worth it?

Well, I certainly wish you luck. It would be a pretty cool job. (and it was Chad who originally mentioned that, though I don't disagree)

I am told it's 4 hours of bs, followed by 4 hours of maintenance work each day.

Good to hear the interview went well Dave. Hopefully you get the job.

Just got back from round 2 of tanning. Used the stand up bed like you suggested Adam. 6 minutes. This s*** better get rid of my farmer's tan.

I tan relatively easily, so hopefully not too long. I'm not expecting it to be perfect in the next week, but at least not as bad as it is right now.

You read that right (or heard it right if you employ a geisha to read you every Woot product description): for the next hour, every shirt on the Shirt.Woot Reckoning page is available for just $12 postpaid. That’s basically every shirt we offer except today’s featured debut, which is only ten bucks anyway, so no whining.

THE ENGINE LIVES!!! Image

Take that, old age. I smite thee!

Got the part in today for the idle-up regulator, now she works just fine. This engine doesn't want to heat up now, tho... :gotme
My work is never done...

OH- BTW...
The previous owner did the "sleepy eye" mod to the car, I now know. :)

I find profanity from children hilarious. So I laughed at a lot of it.

However, from a review standard I wouldn't call it a great movie. In fact, it's pretty hard to call any comedy a "great movie" unless you're talking to a population of people with the same sense of humor as yourself.

So yeah, I just spent a half-hour revving the engine. It didn't get past 1/4 hot at all.

You have an aftermarket radiator, yes?
