If you have a multi zone AVR, it makes the most sense...then you just need speakers and order some wire from monoprice. Only thing that sucks is that it woudl be hard to control....erm never mind...you have the super harmony remote lol.AppleBonker wrote:No tv in the bedroom. What about running some speaker cable from my AVR to the bedroom (I can probably run it along the door frames and conceal it well enough) and using the multi-zone capabilities of the AVR to power some speakers in the bedroom?
My guess? No. People that sell sets like that on CL probably want to just dump the whole thing, and think it would be harder to sell them individually. Just a guess thoughAppleBonker wrote:Exactly. RF and everything. So then the question becomes, do you think this guy will split up this sale?

There are nothing short of 23940823094823 brands to pick lol.ADDirishboy wrote:That's a badass system. I really want to get into the audio area more. I know absolutely nothing about speakers and stuff like that. The surround system I have at home is just an old Bose. Getting bored with it.
Any brands you would suggest Adam?
I know you're asking Adam, but I figured I'd chime in since I'm into this as well.ADDirishboy wrote:That's a badass system. I really want to get into the audio area more. Be careful. It's and enjoyable hobby. But I must warn you that it gets retarded expensive...ADDirishboy wrote:I've always been interested in A/V stuff, but don't know the first thing about them. I should really work on that.
Yea, my dad drops massive amounts of money on guns and ammo. His main rifle right now, a remington 300 ultra mag, cost him about 750 just for the rifle. His swarovski scope cost probably 1500 bucks. His binoculars cost him about 2 grand.Mr1der wrote:that's how any good hobby is.
take shooting for example...I wanna get a nice long range rifle set up going...for "entry" level stuff I'm looking at a grand for a decent rifle and glass to put on it.
I'd probably drop about that much in a nice reloading press and dies too...probably need to do this first honestly, save a lot of money in the long run and if I get good enough, wring out the most accuracy of the guns.
Cars...well, we all know how that gets.
I hate to see what hardcore stamp collectors blow money on....
I have a buddy who collects coins of alllll kinds- historic, rare, whatever country, whatever year, heck- whatever century! Hes got a sxit ton of priceless pieces of metal. He spends FAR more than I do on a car or any of my other hobbies. Only difference is, that after he has owned it a while, he just sells it to someone else to make his cash back. His liquid assets in coins is absurd. Try and sell a used performance car part like that, ya know?Mr1der wrote:that's how any good hobby is.

I hope he uses those binocs for double duty to look at chicks on the beach.ADDirishboy wrote:
