you dont HAVE to go on anything. if all a doctor does is try to push meds on you, express your concern. once again, you don't HAVE to do anything. it's all up to you. just b/c u go to a mental health doctor doesnt mean you MUST take the drugs he prescribes.

when i say you need to talk to a professional doctor, i mean a psychiatrist and therapist. not someone who is just going to pump u with SSRI's. you need to talk to a professional who can help you straighten your head out.

to be perfectly honest, your school's therapist is probably best for this. i find the therapists in schools to be much more dedicated and less likely to push drugs on you. you are surrounded by help, you just have to reach out.

I went to the school's therapist once. He was terrible. He basically blamed the difficulties that I was having on me. I didn't go back and eventually fixed the problems myself.

I'd have to find another forum to linger at then. But I don't know that Learned'd is the problem. They made that assumption, but I still had issues this morning (around 7-8) which was a full 8-9 hours after L2 had been locked. :gotme

Greenman does amazing work. I've had a lot of friends and family members go there, all positive reviews.

If you want somewhere closer to you, try out Hope Gallery in New Haven and ask for Phil Young. Google him. I can't say enough about him. One of the best tattoo artists I've EVER seen. Another is No Regrets in Naugatuck. Phil started here, but left to go to Hope. There's an artist at No Regrets, Rob, who's sicknasty.

Phil's work can be found here: http://www.philyoungtattoos.com/

Now that I see you mentioned Japanese work, I don't think he SPECIALIZES in it... but he's amazing nonetheless.

http://hopegallerytattoo.com/ is the shop he works at. Lots of talent packed in there. You may find someone you like... without having to trek all the way to West Hartford. But if you settle on Greenman, you won't be disappointed either.

Nah. I don't mind being given a vacation, but I'd rather not fall on the sword for making fun of religion.

You're going to turn welfare into a religious debate? There's only one way I can put those together, and I'm not sure that we're seeing it the same. Teaser in Learned'd?

Basically the same people who tout their religion are the most insufferably uncharitable bastards to ever walk the earth. "Sure, go starve. God will take care of you. As long as you are christian, and protestant, and devout, and you don't forget to say 'Thanks for everything, god!' as you sleep in the gutter."

Ok, we do see it the same way. I've always found that outrageously comical. Especially when all religions preach ad nauseam about giving to the poor. But, once again, religion is just a great crutch to use to justify certain aspects of one's lifestyle. The ones that aren't in agreement are completely ignored.
