Ok, so i bought another turbo, because I thought the seals were blown on the original one, because it was spitting oil out of the BOV. I replaced it over memorial day weekend, and its still spitting out oil, maybe even worse. As long as I never let it boost, it won't loose oil. Is it possible, i got another bad turbo? Could ti be I got another set of bad oil lines? this makes no sense. Its my first turbo car, and I love it to death, and I am about to just take it somewhere and tell them to fix it, but i don't know anyone who works on sr20s near Ft wayne Indiana.

It could be oil still trapped in your IC piping from the old turbo. Keep an eye on your oil level to determine if your new turbo's leaking or not.

Make sure your turbo oil drain line is clear and sufficient to flow the volume it needs too. Sounds almost like you're getting oil backing up into the turbo and going through the seals...

I don't know most of the mods, because the guy before forgot most of them when he bought it off the builder. Theres quite a bit though. The ones I know:Greddy Oil pan (so its like around 5.5 quarts of oil)Racing clutchLight weight flywheelFMICinjectors(no idea on size)Z32 MAFApexi SAFC IIHKS ActuatorEbay BOVFull Exhaust...no idea on brand

Stock T25I upped the boost to 14 psi yesterday. Didn't really make a difference. Though the last week its not leaking as bad as the day I posted, but oil still comes out. Which one is the oil drain? Anyone have like a diagram? It's also running lean now, unlike before when it ran perfect. Another thing, I have no CLUE how to work the SAFC II. So confusing

seems like you might be having blowby from the piston rings, when you get into boost you are forcing air past the piston rings which then trys to escape out the breather, carrying a bunch of oil with it.

I'm getting the same thing. I have a black spot on my strut tower from oil from my Blitz bov. I think i might need a catch tank.

Well I did like you said, and all it did was make my car run crappier and it didn't fix anything. I routed it into a gatorade bottle, took it for a drive, popping the BOV off, came back, and no oil in the bottle, and its all over my hood I don't know exactly what the PCV breather is, but I assume I did the right one. since it's the only line going to the intake and coming from the block above the turbo.

the hose comes up from the crankcase carrying vapor and alot of times oil too....than it goes to the rocker cover and gets/vents more vapor and oil..... from there in stock form it goes into your intake.... There is no way that routing that to a makeshift catch can could make it run worse.....unless u didnt cap off the hole in the intake where it supposed to go causing unmetered air (after mafs) to go in the engine a nd a lean condition.....make sure that the intake tube is capped off and the breather hose is secure...i dunno how its all over ur hood unless u hooked it up wrong.....anyways u have alot of oil in the IC piping and its gonna take a while for it to get outta there.... and id also suggest not running ebay knock off bov's........

It hasnt really got oil in it yet but i havent driven it that long....i know on my street car i run significant boost and it poractially fills up over time....

That's exactly what I did. I didn't know wether to do it before or after that 2 way thing, so i did it after, and did a quick zip tied my bottle the upper radiator hose, and ran the tube into it. Then i took it for a drive and nothing. definatly on my hood though. help my thumb over the intake hole from the breather, and it was still running like junk, so I just put it back on. Should I do that anyways, and just find a way to block off that hole in the intake?

Ok I think that pretty much fixed it. I rerouted it into a bottle until I can buy a real catch can. I used a ballon and tape to seal up the intake hole for now. I zip tied a cloth around the bov hole and took it out for a good 15 minute drive. It's a little damp but it doesn't even compare to the slightest to what it used to. Thanks alot!
