well, i finally got my engine back from the machine shop. and well, since i didn't have a truck we put in the back seat of my s13 to take it home. when we were taking it out we picked it up and removed it length wise.

my question, is this gonna any air to get inside the lash adjusters? i kow that they can't be laid on their sides when they are out of the head, but if everything is put together does it make a difference?

I'd rebleed them to be on the safe side. Being in the head doesn't keep them from losing their prime IMO.

damnit, i was afraid of that. and the only way to bleed them is to take them out and put them in a pan of oil isn't it.....

You have to submerge them in oil, and pump them to force oil into them.

Even if you didnt get any air in there, you should still bleed them. You are going to regret it when you start your engine and your lifters start making noise. Always do extra to be on the safe side. It wont take you more than 15 minutes.
