I will be placing the order for the new Front Strut Tower Braces for our 1990 to 1996 Q45 this Friday, June 24th (St. John the Baptist Day).

I have confirmations from the following 15 people:

I will be ordering these 15 bars. They should take about a week to ship to me, then I will take about a week or so to modify them, and ship them to you.

The cost for the brace is $45.00 which includes shipping.

If you are on the list, please PayPal me ASAP. If you are sending a check, please do so now. If you want to use a money order, that is fine as well.

my PayPal ID is [email protected] which is the same as my email address.

If you are not on the list, but still want to participate, please send me an email, Paypal me, and send your shipping address with a contact phone number before this Friday.

Anyword about the Active Q?

I would order one if if can fit the Active Q...I can't find the post where Texasoil talked about converting one for the Active Q.

The right side seems to be the problem...

Do you have any braces for the rear of the Q?

I believe you bleed the fluid system down (Be sure to keep the fluid, because I hear it is like blood!), then when the pressure is off, disconnect the fitting and slide the hat over the top of the shock. Then re-attach the lines, and bleed them.

I have not done it, but that is what I recall the general discussion was.

Another option, is to actually cut one side of the hat, bend it around the line, then bend it back together and bolt it on. Some of the ones for the Maxima are only half circles, anyway. The outer side of the circle really does not do anything.

For anyone who's curious and hasn't decided to get one, let me tell you that it provides a very obvious improvement - you won't be wondering if you can really tell the difference. I drove an Accord for 13 years (still do around town) so I was really disappointed with the frontend handling on my Q. When I turned the wheel, the suspension had an annoying tendency to hestitate briefly before loading the front tires and responding. Rode like a damned Buick. Since I need shocks, I chalked it up to that. But after I put the bar on - poof - instant steering response! Very very obvious improvement, both in town and at speed.

Anyone who's dithering, just go ahead and get one from Jeff. They're practically free from him.

(Heheh, don' mean to cause you any more work, Jeff, but this FSTB you make is just great - thank you again)

Thanks for the props! That is the first thing I said. "Wow, it is like driving a 2,500# car!"

The bars are in, finally.

Unfortunately, I will be OVERLY busy with some mission work this weekend, and will not even get to open the boxes until Monday.

I will do my best to modify them and get them shipped out as soon as possible.

If you still haven't paid me, please do so now. I have 3 people waiting for the next batch already.
