Lady ran my girlfriend and I off the road!!

I had just picked up my girlfriend and she had woken up late so I was trying to hurry. We get on "snake" road and we get behind a silver car that jumped in front of us making me slow down on the earlier road. the speed limit is 35 and she was going 30. well us being late I went around her and she swervved to cut me off, well I keep going and turned my wheel so she woulnt hit me which caused me to go into the grass. She was literally in the other lane, So when I got ahead of her I slowed down and she went flying around me. So having been highly pissed off I followed her with the Highway Patrol on the phone. I followed her till she went to a dead end where she started to back up. I was finally able to read her Tag number and From what i could see she was gonna hit me, so I put it into gear and backed up and she pointed at me and started yelling at me like its my fault.

My conclusionI filed a police report which I am high pissed becuase now my front bumper is scratched up from the grass( would I never of believed grass would do that till not) which was really thick.

She also filed a Police Report, I guess cause I followed her and it scared her. But once I got her tag I left her alone and took my girlfriend to school.

Any thoughts?

I would have driven behind her with the brights flashing, my hazards on, weeving in and out, finger out window, angered look on face, yelling, and all about 6" from her bumper.

This is only because I can express myself... I just can't shoot the idiot.

That or waited till she was going around a corner and give her the Pitts manuever.

What I do is cut in front of her slam on my brakes and make her lock up her brakes and punch the gas. And keep doing it till she have a heart attack. LOL

You're not gonna get jack is what I'm thinking. Reason, insurance company just won't give a flying rats arse as the damage from the grass on your bumper is less than your deductable regardless of if its her fault. My guess is that if your area is anything like mine, the cops can try to file it, but won't get anything done about it since the insurance company will just brush it off.

the speed was about 35 when I went to pass her and she came all the way over. There are parts of my paint on the drivers side where some branches hit it and went down to the metal and a few extra scratches. I have pics on the camera but Ill download later today.

I didnt even think to blow the horn, just steering and shifting. I really dont even remember doing that just remember feeling like the car was going to crash and my girlfriend being with me.

Horns dont work, but acting like one crazy mutha ****er usually does When in doubt, act like you have horrible road rage, people are scared of being shot and will usually stop messing with you. At least, it usually works for me. I pretty much follow the nismo_freak method

yeah she got scared when I was chasing her becuase she ran to that dead end and she just sat there for about 10 secs and then decided to back up.

To really scare her you coulda walked outa your car in the deadend and started screaming at her in a way that makes no sence. Im sure thatd scare the **** outa anyone, especially if your big and came out all red faced.

If things went down as you say ( and I believe you) she'll be in trouble or wind up spending tons of $$ on a lawyer which will make her think twice next time.

I hope that you passed her in a place where it was legit to pass. If that's the case, you should get in contact with the DA and see if you can file assault charges against her. Last I checked, trying to run into someone with your automobile is assault with a deadly weapon.

Odds are the DA will tell you that they don't have time to prosecute your claim though.

haha, I went and picked up the Police report and she lied on it. Saying that I followed her and that I tried to run her off the road then followed her some more. HAHA, Im taking her to small claims court and seeing how that goes. I took it to a local shop and they estimated the damages to $1025.00 for the repair. I got pictures finally.

was the lady by herself? if you go to court, at least you have another witness, though the court may consider her bias. I think between that and the damage on your car and the lack of damage on her car that most people would be able to guess what happened. it also might help if you could get some people who could testify that your car was not damaged that way before you left.

yeah she was by herself. I know the damage wasnt there becuase I go to the car wash at least once every week to a week and a half. I gotta friend that always goes with me to prove I go to the car wash.
