L@@K !! Requesting Submission of ART for CUSTOM KA-T Emblem !!

After cruizin NicoClub for some time and wanting something really sexy, unique, yet stylish to badge my KA-T and lookin around the web and not finding anything I've decided to ask the Nico Club for some Help. I found a company that will make triple chromed OEM quality auto Emblems. They also do chromed Metal too. I'm thinking something along the SE-R emblem or maybe you can come up with something TRUELY UNIQUE. Here's the info from their website:

1.Steps in creating a custom emblem: (8 to 10 week process)

2. Submit art – clean hardcopy art or high resolution digital file recommended ($50 art deposit required) 3. Approve Paper Proof – a paper proof showing exact layout and dimensions will be mailed or faxed to you by our art department for you to approve or alter

4. 40% prepayment – once the paper proof is approved and finalized, a 40% prepayment is required before the custom mold is created

5. Approve Production Sample – custom emblem mold is created and one production sample is produced for you to approve quality

Custom Emblems Ship – the full run of custom emblems are produced and packaged to your specifications (the remaining 60% of the invoice is due prior to shipping)

The bottom Line: Submit your artwork to [email protected] OR just post your ideas here so that we can decide as a group.

Lastly, we'll need 300 orders to hit the minimum required order (From website--Note: Since chrome-plated metal molds are expensive to create, an initial 300 piece minimum is required. However, there are NO art or setup charges and wholesale pricing applies.).

I bet there are too. KA-T.ORG has quite a few members. I don't think 300 would be interested in an emblem though.

Well I appreciate all the responses. So there aren't 300. But I may still want to do the emblem for myself. What do you think would look sexy, hot, yet refined.. for a KA-T emblem... IDEA'S PLEASE !!

Thanks ! Dirty Dee.. How'd you do the Chrome Letters ? I have paintshop Pro but I'm not that good with it.. Since KA-T effectively spells KAT I was thinking maybe surounding the pic of a Big cat. My car is Maroon so that's why I've picked that color but the colors could be diff. Like the sylvia S emblems that are chrome but surrounded by color. Do you think you can "chrome the cat" and put some KA T chromed letters around it ? Thanks again.

I used microsoft paint. i just took the picture of the SE-R badge, cut some of the pieces out, rotated them, and slapped them together.

I got the 'what is that? Is that turbo or something?' in reference to a top mounted GT32. No my car has a tumor.

Back on topic, it's a nice idea but like I said, I don't see 300 people being interested.

i am trying to keep my car as sleeper'ish as possible so and emblem won't be anything i would be interested in.even some people that have seen my engine think it's an SR!!!
