I'm at work otherwise I'd shoot these folks an email to inquire about what products of theirs work with the '08 Altima Coupe and what kind of Group Buy pricing they can do...

[email protected]://www.kptechnologies.com/

I'm looking at Remote Auto Sunroof Control, Remote Auto Window Up, and Navigation "OK" Bypass (with AUX input for DVD, video switcher, etc)...

what do you want from them? reverse mirrors? Theres a lot more to a GB than pricing... ask a mod for more info.

I understand how forum advertising/sponsoring works, trust me.

But, regardless if the mods approve a GB or not, someone needs to get in touch with them to see what is functional with our Coupe. There is a lot of potential there for some cool stuff-- especially the Nav System Bypass with AUX video input...

I'd be interested in the auto up, reverse tilt and the foglight module....

Sent an email:

I was curious what modules support the Nissan Altima? Have any been tested on the 4th gens(07+)? Also, we were discussing the possibility of a group buy on a forum I am part of, what is needed to set one up?

haha...i was jk man....props for making it its own thread....probably needed it since they have a lot of useful stuff for our rides.

yes it IS a hardware fix for the nav while moving thing, and even though we already have a hardware fix for this, i think this one will be a much cleaner fix.

their products will fullfill a lot of peoples wants on this forum.....it seems like they keep eye over the forum and try to answer everyones wants/needs. i have seen many threads talking about wishes for things for the altima, and their products seem to answer a lot of those wishes.

If you have kids or pets I guess it could be, not like it's going to be a guillotine though...

I wouldn't leave anyone that could have a problem with auto-up windows in the car unsupervised so it's all good here.

It's a HW fix, but I don't believe it disables the GPS from working like the other "fix" does... This looks plug n play...

none of KP Tech's projects are plug and play.....i believe you have to splice and hard wire all of their modules

Just got the email:

Most of our modules should work with the new generation Altima coupe.

Our window module should work with any Altima with One Touch windows. The module ONLY works on windows with anti pinch system, so if the sedans only have anti pinch on the front two windows then the module will only raise those two windows. (~I'm guessing this goes with the sunroof too cuz it's auto)

Our Mirror Tilt module should work with them all.

Our Electronic Beep module should work with them all.

Our Auto Lock module, with Speed switch, should work with them all.

I’m not sure about our navigation module. Looking at pictures of the Altima it looks like they are using a different interface then on most of the newer Nissans. Someone would have to take apart their navi and figure out exactly what it would take electronically to interface with the “OK” button. If we can figure that out then it shouldn’t be too difficult to interface with the speed sense wire to allow programming while moving.[/email]

What's anti pinch? does that mean the window will stop if something's in the way?

I sent a follow up email about exactly what we need to know about the navi. (pics of something specific, manual, or have someone drop by)

They also said a group buy is possible and the discount would probably be around 15% and would last around 2-3 weeks. Forwarded that to Tyler so we can set it up.

yes anti pinch stopps the windows from rolling up if theres something in the way.....can you also ask them if their modules are plug and play or if we would have to do some wire splicing? thanks man

Adidas, I always knew you were the defiant type.

I received another email from KP, he wanted the manual for the fog light portion to see if it was compatible.

As far as Nav:

"Someone would have to take the navigation unit apart and try to figure out how the “OK” button is connected on the circuit board. I’m not even sure if there is an actual “OK” button on the Altima. If there is one, we would need to know if it switches to ground, or if it switches a multiplexed signal."

The other day I showed the site to one of my friends, he goes: you idiot, I told you I installed those last year. He has the beep and auto up modules, no problems in his Z.

Dam*it! Every time I spell that word fast, I spell it wrong as, definatly, and not definitely. Then it underlines red as a misspelled word. Right click on it, and it corrects it as defiantly, and I never pay attention that its not even the word I'm trying to say haha.

let me guess...you're using firefox spell check...the worst spell check software ever...it gives my more headaches than it solves
