False, you can drop on $150 springs and save up for coilsOr be a real man and do Koni and GC so your car doesn't ride like a brick

I have drop springs.

But the car doesnt sit how id like it to.

And, I dont see why everyone bishez about coils, you know how the ride is gonna be before you bought them, so stop your bitching.

I dont even think they ride bad.

I've rode in cars slammed on coils and honestly they don't feel THAT much stiffer than a car with stiff lowering springs and low profile tires.

Ive never ridden in a car with coils or any type of modified suspension (besides a lifted *** truck), but how bad exactly is the ride? is it like riding in a go kart, or is it just sporty instead of comfortable?

I never thought it was ridiculous, I drove my buddy's s14 w/ coils and we have some rough roads out here w/ big dips/bumps and I wasn't tripping out. Just get coils, the adjustable settings are well worth the worse ride quality IMO.

it seems like base model kouki's are more rare than SE/LE model kouki's.

I don't have tilt on my '97 lol. Uber rare tilt-delete yO!

so your saying the coils will have better ride quality as they are less bouncy? idk i was rolling with an AE86 today and he had coils, and i could see his car bouncing around like a go cart over any little changes of elevation on the florida flat roads

i did notice on the highway that i really liked not bouncing around like crazy while cruisin

the dampening is usually really stiff on coils meaning the coilover itself doesn't compress much at all. So the car doesn't have a great ride over bumps and whatnot but it will have superior handling.

did your mom know you were out drifting with 86's? lol j/k

haha who said i was drifting? even just riding on the normal road i could see it, and it didnt look like it would be comfortable.

so on a strut and spring combo, the dampening is less stiff, meaning itl absorb bumps better, so i dont get how its less comfy than coils lol

or is that just if you keep stock struts with aftermarket springs? but i guess if coils are the only way to be ajustable, i might wanna save up a little more and get those, but i dont wanna go with cheap ones either

ughhh this is so gay haha, i know they are stiffer but there also a lot lower, but will lowering springs alone (stock struts) make my car prone to bottoming out during heavy body roll?

its a base model so theres no rear sway bar and the suspension is softer, and i have no suspension upgrades
