so I got some tools I would need:
using the penetrating oil I was able to get those stubborn bolts off easily. Was a peace of cake with vice grips.
After getting them off the thread was f'd inside the manifold. Went and got a thread chaser. Wanted to get some machine oil too but I didnt have the money to afford it. The guy at the hardware store said wd40 would work the same so I got that. 2 bucks.
Then i cleaned up the manifold.
If you ever have to do this MAKE SURE you clean the threader as it goes through. Cause if you dont when you bring the threader back through the thread it just leaves the gunk inside and makes putting in the bolts hard.
Followed your guys' advice with threadlocker. got the strongest s*** there was.
Put the bolts in by hand. Was easy after a good cleaning
cleaned up the turbo best as I could
bolted this s*** up sick. Thread locker on the locking nuts too. This b**** aint coming off.
My homie trying his hardest to get that damn oil line onto that side of the turbo. If that is indeed an oil line.
bolted it up.
Then noticed the washers werent on the bolts. So I went back and re-did that.
She's comin back together:
Plugged back in the battery, got the fuel and other fluids pumping through the car. Fixed a fuel leak I had from putting on one of the tubes too far up the piping. Then cranked it, started right up. After the sound from the dying starter.
She was spitting, misfiring a bit and was bogging a bit when i came to a stop.
In the next few days I'll get footage of the tuning process. From cleaning the injectors, spark plugs and tuning the safc2 tuner and adjusting the boost.
