Hopefully no one will take offense to this. BUT.

The only 2 S13 chassis cars I would want to own is this or white comets.

and probably mrgreeneyes.

And no. I have no idea why

Oh as an update I re-welded the seat so its fixed and back in. I'm waiting for some more money to come in and I'll continue the project with the following:

-weatherstripping (I have no idea how to put it all in atm)-new actuator (only thing I can think of as to why it wont make boost)-tint windows-fix bumper

I'll be able to do this on my next paycheck so I'll keep you guys updated.

Reviving my thread because money is coming in and I'm going to start doing lots of work to my baby.

Time to finish her up.

So my car has been running poorly for a while now. I've adjusted everything I could to make it run better. And it kept getting better and better.

Yesterday I tore it apart to check my turbo to see if it was bad. There was no shaft play. So far so good.

After putting it back together I heard a boost leak. The culprit was this hose:

Previous owner didnt think a decently long hose was a good idea.

More updates to follow.

Took her apart today to find out that the ***hole mechanics that worked on my car when it broke down in memphis only re-bolted the turbo up with TWO nuts!

Thats the problem I've been having this whole damn time. I've had about a 1/4 inch gap between the manifold and turbo. Hence my boost leak n other subsequent problems.

And in the following picture what is that called where the tube goes from the back of the engine up through the "t" thing near the valve cover and then into another tube to the oil catch can I have?

What options do I have instead of a catch can? Is a catch can worth it or should I go a different route?

They only put two nuts on the turbo, that sucks!

yeah they are insanely stupid. Thats why I've had a boost leak, thats why I ended up parking my car is because I thought it wasnt working. Instead it was because they didnt take the time to take the turbo out. They instead just bolted two bolts lol.

I doubt they put it back with 2 nuts. Those nuts are so hard to keep from backing out, especially if you dont have lock tabs. Mine backed off twice and blew the gasket out

I think they dropped the ball and didn't replace those nuts. Some people are just lazy and especially when they're working on someone else's stuff...just don't give a f**k!

oh yeah they were lazy. They used 1 bolt to hold the end of the downpipe to my exhaust, they are missing one bolt from the mid section of the downpipe as well as the upper section is missing another bolt. The brake fluid reservoir was also missing a bolt. I took apart the whole front end and found about 6 other missing bolts/nuts.

Pictures of todays progress will come later tonight after I clean myself up.

be sure to use lock washers or lock nuts and high heat locktite on the turbo to manifold... you do NOT want to do that job over and over again.....fcking very annoying so be sure to do it right because those lil bastards will vibrate out of there

^word will do. I'll make sure that it doesnt happen again. It was a PITA to get that mani off.

So todays work was a lot of cleaning and random little things. I wanted to check and double check everything and get a parts list together of everything I need from bolts to nuts.

Test fitting my power steering pump. Finally power steering!

Hello gap in exhaust.

Hello missing bolt from downpipe.

New headlights!

Went to install new headlights and found wonderfully stripped screws! yay! Anyone know a good easy way to get them off?

Alot of parts are stacking up. I'm running out of room. >.<

Done for the day.
