The information is out there. Koni is above almost any other company that sells suspension for the s-chassis. People need to quite cheaping out and get the stuff that will last. I know my car will go off track and maybe get wrecked drifting in the next couple years as its converted to full track duty.

So I plan on running Megan or Stance coilovers, Kyb sucks. I ve known a few people that had them and a couple with them on b13 sentras and the blew out fast from daily driving. Go Koni of just get some Megan coils for the extra little bit.

If you really cared you would get the Koni/GC combo

if you plan on keepin em a long time, i agree, get koni's. but in my personal situation i plan on doing coilovers in about a year or so, i just needed something to last me til then. the stock struts were so shot the car handled like garbage compared to when i bought it in november of 04. i figure the kyb's would be good til then, and more fun than oem replacements. i didn't wanna spend crazy money but yet didn't wanna cheap out. plus i'd prefer the easier to install product. and the red struts look good under my red 240. kyb agx were perfect for me.

if you really want some nasty shocks source some ohlins and sleeve them or be a baller and source some blisten shocks. but if you cant afford baller status just get some koni yellows and some ground control sleeves and you have a height and rebound adjustable amazing set of coils that equal the price of stance gr's and will womp almost any coilover in that price range as well as a few above it.

I think I'm going to look into that set-up. Always looking for ways to be slightly different from the mainstream. You really seem to know what your talking about.

how in the blue hell are you gonna say Monroe Sensatraks are better than KYB AGX's?

I have a couple of friends with these and haven't blown in years.

The reason they blow quickly for some kids is because they are idiots and put them on the hardest level for f'n daily driving. Do the math

this thread got waay off topic.

if you do not want a stiff shock, do not get koni's

they are pretty rough (depending in what springs you get)

its not a "soft" ride at anyrate. personally i like the control i get from them so ill sacrifice the roughness.

I've heard the Koni's on full soft are pretty comfy, could be wrong though.

Im not about the looks of my suspension but thanks for all your inputt Im running stock suspension right naw and imo its pretty smooth. Im actually pretty satisfied with the comfort on my stock shocks (190K KM) Im just pissed that i cant nail a 90 degree corner going over 40 without vibrating and the body roll. I doubt the koni's are going to be rougher then stock and I know the'll be able to corner with them. Like I said i dont care about the look of my suspension and I found a pair of Koni's for dirt cheap. So from what iv'e read ill be pretty satisfied with them. For only 400$CND what could go wrong? But will running my stock springs compromise me in any way? I use my car as a DD and the BK is riding pretty low as it is so i dont want to go any lower then i already am.

nope you will have no negative effects from stock springs except for a big fender gap.

btw since i dont see many ppl post up koni's for fitment, so heres mine

not bad for springs if you ask me

update...

I got the koni yellows set new for 380$CND and set up the springs for the rear. As i was installing the last rear strut the snap ring holding the pressure from the spring popped out of its groove under the tension. I took the assemble apart and put the ring back in it's groove and braised it for extra stability. My first expierience with then shocks and it wasnt a good one I was confused as it to why koni only used a slim ring to hold the pressure of the spring. I followed the instructions exactly.

anyone eles have this problem?
