I've been waiting to hear about this as well. What's the 411 on it?

Todd called me back and told me that they WON"T be doing any after market shocks for our car. In fact, he said that they had already done R&D for the altima, specifically on the SER. However, early this year, Nissan decided to pull the plug on the project thus not producing the shocks. With the high price of tooling and whatever else needed to make the FSD, a joint venture with Nissan was crucial to make this happen..but....

To make this happen, there needs to be at least a couple of thousand orders which I doubt they would get from here.

Oh well back to the drawing board

I'm bummed now

Well we NEED someone to make us shocks. The Eibach springs are great but the OEM shocks won't hold up forever with the aftermarket springs, especially if you're driving on particularly rough roads and such. I thought I read a while back maybe KYB was going to make shocks for us? What's the deal? It's really a bummer that the Koni prospect fell through.

Let say oem shocks without drop will last long for 50k miles, but with a drop it will be long for 30k or 35k.

well, we "COULD" fund the thing ourselves with KONI if Nissan doesn't want to step up.

with a good amount of people like 25 doing a GB of sorts25 x 750$ = 18,750$ thats a good amount to get them to take measurement on a donator car and then have one of their enginer analyze it and makes us some dampers.

I say someone (moderators *wink**wink*, tyler, brian, blake, reverend, generic or you dangeris since you already contacted them) contact KONI and ask them what it would take to get this rolling.

lets not give up yet!

yeah, but still, if there is a demand there is certainly some company that will step up to the task.
