seen these on ebay & just wondering if anybody has ever put one of these on their car? what is firment like & do you have problems with leaks? if you have no experience with this product, please do not respond with the usual "you get what you pay for" or "save your money for the real thing"......i am a drifter & go through parts like water & i try to save money everywhere i can. i have various "knockoff" parts on my car right now & they work just fine.....plus, the only reason i even looked at these is because they are the same price as a stock replacement. any info would be appreciated............thanks.

OH NooESSS!!!! Do Not Risk Your Motor!!! Do a Search and you'll get more answers....Seriously do not buy vital engine parts that are knock offs.....and yes the oil pan is a vital component to your engine.

I just put an oil cooler in my car and avoided the whole oil pan thing. I was warned against those knock off pans anyway but have you read up on how hard it is to get the pan off the engine if it is still in the car? I built my oil cooler with about a 100$ worth of parts off ebay and it took me 2 hours to put it in. I can now run my a/c and cruise at 75 in 90 degree weather and not worry about anything. It dropped my oil temps by about 15F. In my opinion the pan is not worth the trouble unless the engine is out of the car.

Sure... I bought one of these-http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...photo

and then I found the cheapest 24 row oil cooler that I could. I believe it was a 'dana' 24 row. it was like 45$. Then I spent about another 20$ on some decent hose and fittings. It doesn't look as pretty as those stainless steel setups from greddy but it does the trick for 1/3 the cost. I stuck the oil cooler behind my intercooler

you can also use the oil cooler off of an RX7. they are freaking huge and they have built in thermostats.

a company called Mocal also makes these sandwich plates but you have the option of getting a thermostat built in that way you dont over cool the oil, I have one on my can, Im running -10 ss linies and a setrab cooler, it does a great job of keeping the oil cool, but I still want a Greddy pan to raise the oil capacity and reduce the risk of starvation due to high G turns.

I have a knockoff oil pan and its not that bad. The craftsmanship could be better but it works just fine, and it makes the oil really easy to change. I dont even have to lift my car to change the oil. If you want a perfect one though I suggest buying the real thing.

Lower oil pan is a separate unit from the upper oil pan. The greddy oil pan is the lower piece which is held on by 10 bolts and comes off in less than 30 mins.

Ive had 2 fake ones. First one leaked, second one leaked.

My 3rd was Greddy. The third has not leaked a drop of oil.

End thread now.
