I agree, sorry didn't mention this earlier. Just do one thing at a time.

CAN anyone answer my previous question about the z1 engine cleaner and it maybe being too much after the marvel mystery oil treatment?
I would love to know if there is a write up on how to replace the vtc's!!!
If it is your VTC gears then I would bet its not the springs, but the entire gear that needs replaced.

so what I will do is when my z1 flush gets here I will drain the old oil.
put the flush in run it for however long I think its 15 mins at idle.
then drain it and put fresh thicker oil in!
Or should I change my oil now and roll with fresh for a little then change and flush?

Your plan sounds good, drain and replace run it for a bit then add the Z1 flush, just run conventional oil 10-40 or 10-30, cause any type of synthetic can get expensive especially when your just gonna dump it so soon afterwards. Don't get frustrated if the noise is still there, if it is I would really look into the VTC's. Have you done the screwdriver test to see where its isolated at? I really would do this first!!

No keep your oil you have now, it will be a waste of money to run synthetic for that short of time. Make sure to replace the oil filter after you do the flush as well ( just buy a cheep one ).

If it's coming from the back, that's lifter territory.

I gotta go with Ethan on this one. Do the mechanic's stethoscope method. Valve covers=lifters, timing covers=gears.

welll!
I did the flush! I drained my old oil out and put the recommended flush in there (how much oil you put into your car is the amount of flush needed) let it run for ten minutes
drained it for an hour to be sure to get all the nasty's out of it. And put 10w-40 in it this time.

I had lifter tick its gone but now I can pick up where the vtc problem is, it quits right at 3krpm.
My engine it feels completly new with this stuff!
Oil pressure works great now car feels more smoother when driving and shifting now.

I HIGHLY RECCOMEND THE z1 oil flush kit!!!!!!!!!!!! :bowrofl: :dblthumb: :bigthumb:

I stethoscoped my engine and it's coming from the front right and I can hear it faintly on the left side of the plenium also!

Thank you to everyone who helped and I hope this thread helped out anyone in need of this problem!
