Today, I been working on changing my ks based on this thread.

zerothread?id=116280

Through out the whole process, I been asking why I started this epecially when you are trying to get the darn small bolts off of the fan and trying to loosen the radiator hoses...

Kind of wondering if it would it been better to just remove the fuel rails and follow the traditional route....

Anyways... almost there... hopefully I can finish tomorrow.

I have a questions.

from the below picture, it the ks harness connection - the one in the middle?

Thanks in advance?

Best bet is to trace it from the main harness connection.

I would be interested in your opinion of this method after you finish.

I think it is the other end of the ks connector...

It passed my pull the cable and see the ks connector move.

Now I got the put on some band aide on my fingers. Beer time now... till next week to finish...

I guess you could ohm test it for the expected KS values.

No values from the knock sensors while the new ones had 560 ohms.

To do this way you need to have two specials tools that I did not have when I started:

10 and 12 mm ratcheding wrench for the hose clamps and fan blade and 1/4" socket wrench with 12mm socket for the drivers side knock sensor.

I actually did not remove the inner hose - most people cut it out and bought new ones. I just removed the clamps since they were in the way.

Man I miss working on 4 bangers.... ah good old days working on the '84 Celica.

Got to go back to reassembly.

Tomorrow - spark plugs...

Hope you are planning on VC also! You will need a little RTV also.

You won't want to return soon.
