It's slow on take off,but one it passes 3k rpms you fill the acceleration no turbo just n/a,race on a private street, two miles long it use to be track, the mayor owns it,race a new civic si,half- moded lost the tree take offs, but won at the end on all three.I'm not bragging or anything, just want to know if it would be wise to remove it or replace it at 160 at the dealer, could that be why my take off is slow. since it retard the timing.

Your take off is slow because you have an automatic and your car is stock. The knock sensor will make you marginally faster. You didn't beat a new Civic Si - they are way faster than you.

Would a knock sensor being tripped cause this issue? I'm having the same hesitation problem where there's no balls in the low end like there used to be, but after 3k or so everything feels fine.

Also, to the OP, are you sure it's a knock sensor making your bottom end crappy? Could be a whole slew of different things causing that. Just wondering if you've checked.

that's the only code that pops out,and didn't say it was my car was stock,my has force internals, stage 2 cam, overside, valves with titanium springs, no dyno yet fresh rebuild with only 1k miles on it. and automatic is better for long runs,

Your a retard if you are beating on a car with only 1000 miles on a fresh rebuild, have you even done your first oil change yet?

Eh i'd take it a bit easy on the new engine there bud before you end up making it your second rebuild and i've beaten a new si all i have is K&N air intake header and i have it running 2.5 all the way back running only through a resignator not really what i would call fast I caught back up to him in the middle of third but when you have a car that weighs almost 4 tons those little civics will take off from ya.

actually its half and half on what is better to break in a new engine. some say to take it easy, other break them in by beating on them a bit to get everything seated properly. there was a discussion on this a long time ago on g2ic.com ( i was an integra owner before)

yeah, did the oil change, first startup 2k rpms for 15min,then change the oil, after that did 500miles,and kept it under 4k to 5k rpms, change oil again, did the same thing after another 500miles,just did a change of oil today, and the rest it's going to be normal after 3000miles,or so depends on how hard I run it. It actually ran pretty good, didn't even feel the gears shift,so smooth, even my needle on the speed gage stop turning, the si 2 and half cars behind me,he going to sell his car and get a s14 with an sr20 so he can beat me, he will might beat me but ain't going down that quick saving a lot of pennys for ls1, dum rich friend yet best friends since 3 grade.anyways, that's all i wanted to know,of the knock sensor. Thanks guys.

Ok so I put in the Knock sensor all in 30min give or take 5min,anyway the take off is way better, the only thing I notice was on the 2k mark the needle will drop one small bar and go back up, but it will bog down like if I let go of the gas peddal even thow i didn't,after that is normal, ideal is rock solid, don't think is any vacum leak, going to change my plugs and see how they look, any ideas would be good.
