Have you tried to see if the engine cover still fits?

I'd be interested in one of these but the engine cover would definately need to fit without modification (I currently don't have the engine cover on but will put it back on when I sell).

How does it sound?

It sounds great however Infiniti engine cover does not fit. Well it fits but you can only secure it on 2 bottom bolts. However, 350z cover fits perfectly, which is what I am going to get.

Because you love your kids more then your cars.

Well most of the times anyways.

Believe me I know what you are saying. I have a 3 year old and an 11 months old. It took me quite a while to get there. I have one advantage though. My wife likes to mod our car as much as I do.

What does the plenum do for the car...

Does it void your warranty?

Its a better designed manifold to allow air to reach all cylinders more evenly and more effective. The stock one was poorly designed (on an angle) so air doesn't get to the front two cylinders as good as it should.

Yeah I'd say it would definately void your warranty.

For the price though, most plenum spacers provide the same results. We all forget that adding all these mods that you get to a point where the ECU must be reprogrammed to truely take effect. Intake, exhaust, plenum/spacer and a ecu reflash would definately open things up.

You didn't happen to dyno before the plenum install did you?

Can the stock Nissan ECU (Hitachi) be reflashed? I pulled mine out with a friend and was told I'd need a custom ECU.

Wasn't sure if the JDM ECU was different from the USDM. I highly doubt it would be but you never know. If anyone knows the part number I can compare it with my photos.

Actually it can be re-flashed. Technosquare does the re-flash if send them your ECU and if you want to have a greater flexibility - uprev makes custom rom software for ECU that you can upload using a lap top.https://order.uprev.com/mm5/me...de=OS

Incorrect.. mods will only void your warranty if a problem arises on your car that is directly related to your mod. They have to prove it.

You are correct. For example, if something happens to your throttle body, chances are that the dealer will void warranty on it due to the fact that it could have been damaged during plenum install. However, it will not void warranty on anything else that is not related to plenum.

I don't recommend doing a reflash until AT LEAST intake and exhaust mods are completed...and even then you won't get much gain. Tuning is more for FI applications. (with our car)

Actually I just looked at their mail-in re-flash service and they do everything from 03 to 07
