i think that was in a concept car. still possible though, like a keypad starter kill, with out the specific signal sent to the receiver the receiver wont kick the relay or w/e to tell it to start. that would be pretty sweet.

You can use any switch you want. If it's not rated for the current draw then simply wire a relay.

nice man yeah there's got to be a constant 12 volts going through it to get it hot. assuming you made it the clutch switch kill it only needs contact till you start it then there's no thing (or close to nothing) going through the line anyway. plus you'd have to hold the cig lighter and clutch in to have anything pass through it.

A friend of mine did this however it was on an old Chev pickup. It should still work. On your distrubitater... there is a power wire going to it so it can power your spark plugs. Simply put a switch between it, place it under your dash or where ever. So if you leave the switch on its normal, if you turn the switch off, the vechile will not fire.

This has many pros rather then using a switch on your starter wire. One is that if your car is standard, nobody can push your car, pop it into gear, and drive away. The vechile just wont run.

An easy way to do it with the nissan button would be to install a simple push button toggle switch behind it. To wire it up you can cut the clutch interlock switch wire and have both ends going to the switch. This way you have to clutch in and push the button at the same time to start the car.
