Congrats on the promotion!!!! Now go party like a rockstar!!spockrock wrote:Ok so my illuminated kick plates came in and what can I say other then I got a really professional product.
The kickplates were shipped in poster tube, and the plates themselves were wrapped in bubble wrap. News paper was thrown in as well to further protect the goods. Also as a nice surprise the aluminum plates that were removed were also shipped to me. It came with everything but the electrical tape and the tools necessary to do this mod. I was about to go to the computer and print off the instructions on doing this, it came with it, fully detailed with colour pictures.
any one who hasn't ordered one, rjdmmfl1 gave you an awesome opportunity. Hopefully I will have time to do the install however, I recently got a promotion at work so it may have to wait until next weekend after I celebrate with the family and gf.
Thanks rjdmmfl1 these are badass.
That sums it up for me too!theoctopussi wrote:dopeness
tareeq, glad you got it installed.. just talked to you, the hanger idea is probably the best idea or folks.. I'll change that on the instructions... believe it or not, when you take your car to the audio shop... they use everydat objects like that to assist on installs also!spockrock wrote:Ok I got around to installing these but how the hell does one get it from the door through to the floor of the interior, I spent an hour trying to figure it out and as far as I can tell there isn't a way, unless you did something when you had your system put in rjdmmfl1.
yes, I can you wont have to pay me, but this was the first time I did something like this myself I will help you out if you like.hangtime23 wrote:hey spockrock...your kickplates look sick, can't wait to get mine!
do you think you could help me set mine up when I get them? I'm also in TO...and I'd be willing to pay you to help me get mine working, as I really have no experience at all in modding cars. Let me know man.
thanks, that would be cool...whereabouts are you located?spockrock wrote:

Mississauga, email me when you get them, I will help you out with the best of my abilities, and I am not a pro just a nerd.hangtime23 wrote:

not sure about the amperages, I only know that the transformers is a must for powerin these types of lights... there is absolutely NO harm in hooking each one up to each courtesy door seperately, I'm just lazy, and took the lazy man's approach to save time!spockrock wrote:Hey Doc,
I tried the coat hanger trick and it worked like a charm. I have a quick question though what is the electrical specs required, I am wondering with all the parallel circuits we are creating the amperage might be too low for one of the kick plates. Do you think there is any harm in hooking up each plate to its own courtesy light?

That's a poor excuse not to order these Daniel, especially when you know that I'd be willing to do the install for you.. and due to the price of gas, if you drive down to San Diego, I'd do the install for free (or maybe like $10 for my time...) or we could meet half way like in oceanside! The install takes all of 15 - 30 minutes!BlackNWhite wrote:^Uh... yea. That's why I don't want to order these because although you typed that out in English... I DON'T KNOW WHAT THE **** YOU JUST SAID.
I'm scared I'm gonna **** something up and I don't want to pay someone to do the install.
