Noooo don’t do that. Ok so I found out 4 days ago the fcc discontinued the bu618. That’s why they are hard to find and expensive when you do. The bu735 is the new key to be used. https://www.yourkeylessremote.com/produ ... &year=2006
So being the “G” that I em I got a OEM off amazon for $62
Next when the locksmith programmed my key he had to use two different devices. One to get the car programmed to start the car the other to open and lock the doors. For some odd reason he had to do the programming separately. Now this could be bc of the key or the locksmith device
♂️. But he did tell me he has never seen that happen before. That one device is suppose to program everything. Also stay away from knock offs. ONLY OEM FOB. The cheap ones will last for a few weeks and lose the programming. Hope this was helpful
