But you have no trunk space?

An MDF box wastes so much space!

Chris, in the s14 I had eye bolts and used bungee cords. Worked very well for years.

Harbor freight sells a motorcycle cargo net for $3.00 ... three bux.... cheap.... and it has 6 attachment hooks. I bought one for the bed of the truck to hold my basketball and football from rolling around. Works great. and you'd have less than $7 in it with the eye bolts.

I'd show you pictures, but Iserve blows nala.

Just pick up some velcro squares from Home Depot. Put one side on the tool box, other on the trunk floor.

That's what I use to keep my subwoofer in place on my trunk. Doesn't move an inch.

I made measurements so I could have a semi-deep rubbermaid-type container for all the liquid stuff, jumper cables, etc. and everything else is held in place with an assortment of plastic cable ties. Also I have a full-size spare so that kind of keeps things from sliding too.

I would also vote you weld in some hooks... maybe weld them to a plate and use some self tapping screws to hold it down... just make sure you don't drill it right into your gas tank. Put the hooks in the corners of the trunk so they wont be in the way of everything else. Then do the aforementioned bungee cording/netting.

I basically don't put much of anything in my truck just for this reason.

However I have a canvas road side emergency kit that has Velcro on the bottom, and the bottom of the trunk in the 240 is carpeted... So I stick that thing over towards the corner so it will hold a 12 pack in place.
