Dude are you serious? D16s are slow as phuck. I have owned both cars and your 240 should jump a couple of cars just at take off.

ZC's, isn't that a JDM civic motor? I heard they make good torque numbers but won't hold up for very long. But I don't really know much about hondas.

I'd say it'd be a great race either way.

He said he'd take you with a car full of people. So make your fat friends ride along with him.

Other the other hand yes he will distroy your car in straight line accel.

1991 Civic hatch weighs between 2123 lbs(965) - 2285.8 lbs(1039)

1990-1994 240sx weigh about 2699 lb (1224 kg)

So full of people the civic could be beaten.

However if you want to be a bit quicker not to mention save gas get a lightened flywheel and pullies. I noticed right away in my boys 90 hatch.

I also read if you use a stock auto ECU in a 5spd you might gain a bit but this is true only on ka24e not de.

I don't think pulleys will do much.

I got my *** handed to me no matter what I was against. There was something seriously wrong with my engine. 0-60 mph was 18 seconds. I'm now giving my engine the boost treatment. I suggest you do the same if you want to beat hondas.

i MURDERED civics whether its an old d15 non vtec to a vtec to a si to a gsr. as long as they have nothing more than intake header and exhaust. you should be able to also, all i had before my project was intake header exhaust spark plugs and timing advanced HELLA!!! but be carefull, not too much. i had ka24de, i also had a da6y8 vtec before hand, and ill admit, it preformed wayyyy better than a complete stock ka. the key to vtec is premium gas haha.

When you get 20 years of driving under your belt junior, let me know. I'll still take your pink slip and your lunch money. But the unfortunate, ugly truth is this kid is going to race that other kid in a Civic. And chances are better than good that the Nissan is not going to win. And even if he does beat that other kid, isn't that still kinda'....sad? Sorry to break it to you, but a SOHC 240sx is not fast at all. A rear driver with an open diff really is not much of an advantage in grip over an FF car. Neither is an aenemic engine that stops pulling at about the same point as a domestic small block. (minus the power) I have heard plenty of stories about "I beat Mustang GT's, and WRX's in my stock ____ all the time." Funny thing is, I have never SEEN it. What I have seen is the SR'ed 240 get it's *** handed to it by a lightly modified Cobra, WS-6 T/A, and the big block powered Chevy Blazer. Not to mention muscle cars on slicks and skinnies on the street, Grand Nationals, and those crazy rednecks running propane injection on 3/4 ton deisels. Some of you guys are reaching, others are more realistic. To the OP, be sensible when you drive, take it to a track if you can and let us know what happens. Regardless, I am not wrong. So, take it with a grain of salt, be grateful for the good things in your life, and do what you can to honor them.
now it's time for me to take your dentures, change your depends, and take your family out to dinner... first off... the D16 has WAY less horsepower than the KA, not to mention that the Ka's torque blows it out of the water like a frog with an M8- shoved up its a**. I know quite a bit about honda's, and more about nissans. and a whole s***load about SBC, and i'm only 20. so first off, i have in my acura a sohc f22. which is honda's "big block" and thats pushing 148hp and like almost the same torque AND ITS VTEC with FULL exhaust and intake, magnacore wires... strut tower bars...ETC. not only does the 240 accelerate faster because it's rear axle gearing is 4.08, but because it's got a s*** load more torque. maybe if you weren't so stupid you know hondas power band IS vtec, and their max power is at high rev! PLUS, my 240sx out manuevers my ac... ALSO, FROM EXPERIENCE racing my friends 2000 ek SI with full exhaust and intake with 80k mi, where mine had the same mods, and 247k mi. and it was a dead tie. and trust me, both me and my friend can drive VERY well. so you saying you could lap someone with an sr20 in a STOCK civic is the STUPIDEST thing i've ever heard and if you continue telling such bedtime stories I might have to talk to the moderators and have them make a FAIRY TALE section where you can post all of your stupid a** dreams.

Dude everything is subjective... for example what size tires is he running, what size are you running? this matters cus if he's like every other honda tard out there he's probably running 2 in wide rims and will have an issue with traction. honestly a built d-series motor will only put out a few more hp than ka... there's no replacement for displacement - 2.4 liter vs 1.6, my money's on you.

Seriously show that little punk whats up. i always get in altercations with honda guys cus they think they're cars are so awesome cus they get like 80 more horse power when v-tec kicks in.
