ka24e rev limiter problem?

i figured this problem out yeears ago... it was the SPEED SENSOR.

thats right. i replaced it with a known good one and the car was good to go. my speedo also didnt work, and that was fixed as well

driving down the freeway today power would cut out sometimes at around 2600rpms. the tach would bounce down a little then drop to 0 and stay there for about 2-3 secs. the amount of throttle i gave it didn't seem to matter. power would kick back in and it'd be fine temporarily. the power cut ranges from 1sec to about 5sec.

edit: wot @ 4000rpm felt like fuel cut, ~30mph.
