ka24de water pump woes.

hey i just replaced my water pump today, and the weep hole it spitting out coolant. is this something thats just equalizing pressure or what? i bled out the air bubbles and it ran fine for about 30 min. then it started to squeak then out cam the coolant.

i saw somewhere that new pumps can bleed off a bit, or if my serp belt is to tight. which it could be. but im looking for more options than i just bought a bum water pump. install wasnt hard but i dont wanna spend another 1.5 hours out there tomorrow doing it again because of c*** auto zone.

anything anyone might know?

Hmmm. Sometimes they do weep a tiny bit as the seal seats, but not more than a drop or two.

The squeal tells me you got a bad pump.

it was leaking alot, almost spraying. bad pump makes me mad because it lasted about 30 minutes.

problem solved. auto zone gave me a s*** pump. i swapped out the new one, and bled it off, runs fantastic. runs amazing with my new thermostat.

glad autozone gave me another for free. other wise i would have lost it.
