I am having a ball reading all these threads, however I am a little confused.
I based in Australia. We got the KA24e. We didnt get the KA24DE / T.
Is the KA24E/DE the same block or not?
Can't you bolt the KA24DE + T head, intake, ecu, pipes, etc to the KA24E Block?

I have been reading threads for days and haven't come across this and am wondering why. The must be something that I dont know (i'm sure theres heaps I don't know) about the difference between the two engines that make the head change not possible.

As I said, I have been reading for days and haven't come accross this iassue.

Have a KA24E N/A, looking to rebuild engine, swap to KA24DE head (if it can be done) with turbo, aftermarket ECU and Coil packs, no MAFs.

Can someone be bothered taking the time to explain/educate.

Thanks
Bert

its been awhile since i posted, we are sooooo close with this project, after we replaced teh distributor and got it to start, the timing was off and one of the injectors was shot, so we fixed the timing, replaced the injector

now it cant hold an idle, i had my dads friend with me and he was spraying starting fluid (i believe) and everytime he sprayed enough the car would sound fine

he said he thinks its not getting enough gas. i wanted to know your thoughts before i buy a fuel pressure regulator (thats what im leaning towards) although i guess i could test the pressure before throwing down 65 dollars

anyway i was reading and another idea maybe one of the injectors is clogged or who knows

any opinions?
