I have been having my car for about a year now and had no problems with it. But suddenly my speedometer gauge would start to fail. It would rise and fall between 2-4k. But it wasnt really a priority because i knew my speed in 5th gear. But then my tachometer started doing the same thing. And now my engine temp gauge wont work at all! My fuel gauge is fine. But idk whats goin on!!

HELP PLEASE!!!

you gona have to learn to use a test light sire to find the exact issue..but im wondering if ya have somepin rubbing against a metal object somewhere..or it could be as simple as a fuze..keep us posted on what ya find.

Well i check all the fuses, thats not it. But what would happen if it was rubbing on a metal object. And i dont have any power going to my connectors on the back of my cluster? But i also got a another good ecu, and thats not it.

im not shure about how the gauge cluster is grounded..but im "asuming" its like any other circut...you have a ground and a positive..or live feed to the cluster..if the live wire or positive touches the grounded metal somewhere..you would definitly have strage issues and or falure of the electronic component...may be another nicco head can help explain this better as i have yet to tamper with a gauge cluster as far as the electronics are concerned...

I would check your gauge cluster wiring. Does it happen in the heat/cold?

I'm having the same problem. I wish I could swap with someone to test it out. Went to the yards this weekend and all they had were SOHCs..... boo

It does it all the time. The temperature is not a factor. But as far as swapping good parts, I changed it with another good ecu and another good cluster. But see it does have power, because all my dummy lights come on when power is sent to it, but no gauge movements?
