I found recently that my fuel injector is shot, so i have been online looking to purchase new injectors. After reading over the forums, it seems that the stock size is 270cc but there was a pretty good article on a swap and the guy recommends going to this website. http://www.deatschwerks.com/nissan41.htm but when i go there they say the stock size is 370cc.

So I am a little confused. I do plan on putting a turbo in my KA pretty soon, nothing major probably about 250HP or so. Should I upgrade my injectors since I am already have to buy new ones or what?

Dont forget to ask for the 10 percent discount available to all nico members.

370 is what you want. my 1991 is completely stock and 370 works fine for me.

the red stock ones are 270.

This is my write-up with pics.

LOL,I have to tell you, that is the EXACT article i was refering to. How are those injectors holding out for you? They seem pretty cheap and honestly that makes me a little nervous.

-But if you have them in your car, how do you like em? -did you notice any differences? -am i goign to have to upgrade anything or do anything different with the higher injectors?

Also, on a side note, originally i tried the "remove with vice grips" method and fukd my injectors to HELL and back... I JUST read your article tonight and walked outside and removed them in all of 5 min.... I feel so stupid, they were such a nightmare i removed the ENTIRE fuel rail to get at them....

I have not noticed any difference but my stock ones were only leaking at idle (causing me to fail smog test). Deatschewerks is very specialized so i dont think you will have any problems. They are recycled but they send a report for each injector showing that it works. You dont have to make any modification to accomodate the higher cc.

I ruined two of my stock ones using vicegrips and a third one somehow had a hole in the side. Deatschewerks said that they pay less for for the injectors if they are damaged so I didnt bother mailing the injectors back for the $12 per injector refund. There is another supplier that sells them on the net for the same price.

yeah, that "condition of core" thing is pretty stupid. But I need the money, so ill send em. Even $20 or $30 will get me the suspension bushings i need.

Thanx for the help man, i think im going to buy them today.

I am writing this in case anyone else goes to buy from the Deatsch Werks group.

The 370cc injectors are $230 and they will give you a core charge return only if the injectors are in good condition. I plan to just send them all of mine, but a couple are kinda messed up. I will just get what they give me. Basically the reason is because they refurbish old injectors and resell them.

They seem like a good legit place, but they no longer offer the 10% off to NICO people. They will only give free shipping now. The guy said it was because they are selling them wholesale now and they dont want to underbid their resellers.

i have not heard of the core charge thing to prevent contamination. Most core charges are in place because the company will, for example in a master cylinder: replace all the internal seals and parts, only reusing the body.

270cc injectors are stock on a KA, 370cc are stock on S13 and S14 SRs. You will need a safc or rom tune to make the 370cc injectors work.

I have the 370cc and they work fine on my ka24de without any mods. Deatschewerks knows what it is doing and they say it works with a ka24de. The weird thing is that they are buying the 270cc injectors to recycle but I dont see any 270's for sale.

the core for the 370's is twice that of the 270's. i think they might be able to change the 270's into 370's.

How can you test to see if you have a bad injector?

You can unplug it and see if engine bogs. you can test it in different cylinder and listen for click to see if problem is in the connector or harness.

factory service manual is in my signature and explains how to test the electrical part. not sure how to test to see if is clogged. clean it for sure.
