alright first off i have done some research. im sitting here with a small book of pages i printed out on emissions/vacuum lines etc. secondly i bought this car headless with everything taken apart and thrown in the trunk. plus there were some ford explorer parts thrown in there for some reason. i think someone was trying to test me or something :rotfl
so please this is my first build and ive worked my a** off so try to show a little respect...

im not really sure how i missed this gaping whole on my intake this whole time. what does it connect to? i've looked around a bit, but most of the time ive been focusing on trying to figure out other things. so...yeah

Image

what does the AAC?IAVC pipe actually connect to? in the write up on here it says it goes to your intercooler. "this is the tube coming from the iacv. to this you need to attach a hose that will go to a plug in your intercooler after your ic and before the throttle body" it looks like it just connects to your intake correct?

Image

all good here i assume...?

Image

what do these two plugs go to? are they necessary?

Image

the needed brake booster vacuum line is the big fat one right?

i removed the charcoal canister and there are two vacuum lines. they were talking about angling one of the lines a certain way for ventilation. which line is it and how exactly do you do this? i never got to see any pics.

ok so im leaving a vacuum line for the fpr,the brake booster and the thing on the top of the intake manifold. the swirl control valve or air idler something or other :lolling:. this is EVERYTHING i need correct? anyway all help is greatly appreciated!!

Sorry dude. It's been so long since I removed all that stuff (hmm, about 7-8 years) that I can't remember ... that and I'm old. :chuckle:

im just going to post this quick. idk if it helps. i did this to my old ka for $hits and giggles when i was bored and it ran fine.

The upper coolant neck on the upper intake manifold that has the side discharge for coolant to cycle your TB. cap it.
the swirly vavle take off the hose but leave it on. JUST take off the plates inside your intake. leave the rod. you have a stock ka, that rod in there dosnt affect profoemance. PLUS if you do take it out, you have to fill in the holes. its 8 screws/4plates. not hard to do. rememebr to leave the valve on, and take off the vac hose.
Now.. the web of vac lines running behind the motor.... take it all off. EGR had a block off plate.

The only thing i had left was 1 vac line. it was that small one on the intake mani, i hooked that up to the FPR.
took off the PCV and capped the lines. and of coarse the brake booster hose.

Now, i said mine ran fine. altho once in a great while i had a sudden increase (200rpms) at idle. and that was it. ran it like that for 12k before i sold the car. If you look at buying a Xcessive or w.e there called intake mani, youll see that all the above is deleted anyways.

The left on (closest to passenger side) is the EGR and Canister Control Solenoid Valve, and the right one is the S.C.V. Control Solenoid Valve.
