Probably like 210whp. You might want to get a T28 instead.

how much psi? If stock 7, then yeah, I'd agree with above post. . .210-215 would be my guess. . .

i guess 210-215 is good, i mean it is my dd, and i dont want to blow anyhting out of my ka that i acnt get to school n back each day, so yeah ill probably run the stock 7 and then turn it up a lil for the strip on the weekends, but no more than 10psi.

but if i did go t28, how much of an improvement are we talkin?

240-250 is a good number for me, esp out of a dd/weekend tracker.ill probably just run the t-25 for a lil n then upgrade. one of my major goals in this project is to run my g/f's older brother in the quarter in his autotragic ls-1 firebird, as he pretty much hates me because ive only ever drivin s-chassis and he loves his 'american muscle'. i would love to take him in the quarter, although idk if id b able to pullit off with 250whp.

id just love to see the look on his face when 'a piece of jap crap' as he puts it shows him the tail lights at the finish line

if its stock you wont have much trouble even with a bonestock SR in your car...

Heres a basically stock Sr in a S chassis http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wiTCks3g0SQ

haha you think with a T25 your going to beat an LS1? Be happy he doesnt have a 6 speed or he would eat your face. I'm hoping with my .64 a/r 50 trim @ 15psi that ill beat ls1 camaro's, the ls1 is formidable opponent even in stock trim.

Btw, nice to meet a fellow pittsburgh member.

Hah, me and my freind will bring his 400hp SR powered S14 down and crush him, or my best freind owns a nice 350z that would walk an autotragic ls1. I hate ignorant people, dumb hicks.

Yea thats if the car is a 6 speed, the track is perfect and the car is brand new AND the person REALLY knows how to drive. Ive seen lightly modded LS1 fbodys run 13.5 and even 13.8

Those cars are overrated by the domestic crowd. Yeah id take one over my slow n/a S13 but thats not saying much..

True True

I also believe the LS1 is formidable even stock. My dad's got a ls1 firebird, I wouldn't call it stock even though the engine is from factory unmodified. But, it has no markings, and the vin number comes back as a TransAM or something like that. Hell it may be a bone stock ls1 but all I know is the car is scary. I actually told him I would rather keep my stock 93 240 than have it(+ I have never seen it get any better than10-15 MPG). Maybe I'm just a weine and it is stock but I would really like to take it to the strip and see how fast it is... Just to see.

There fast and respond great to mods, but people act like they are gods gift to cars. A sr with a mild T28 set up could easily roast one...theres only so much a heavy *** car with 294whp can do.

Its They are or they're, not there...grammar owns you.

Auto is faster in the 1320. Compare stock to stock or modded to modded.

The SR is a good motor yes, but only modified will you have a chance beating the GM LSx car. Add a new turbo, fmic and things associated with adding boost and I'll ruin you in the 1/4 with 700 bucks and a 250 fogger kit.

DO NOT TALK CRAP IN MY FORUM.

Either talk about boosting a KA or keep it in Gen Chat.

The LSx motor is one of the best motors ever built to date...by any manufacturer.

Anyone starts name calling and talking like a kid in HS and I'll give you a vacation from Nico.

Not to get on your bad side. . . .but the VQ35 was awarded the best engine built production. And nissan had been winning it for like the past 5 years (read it in some motor trend magazine)

Did ya see where I said, "one of the best" and not "the best"...?

Also, when measured in terms of what each motor can have with the slightest of mods, the LSx will trump the VQ/VH/VK. I'm not an LS nut swinger, I just have a love for all works of art.

The VQ is an awsome motor do not doubt, but we're comparing the old SR to the LS...absurd really.

Completely understandable.

My cousin used to have a AUTO Firebird. It had I/H/E and slicks. It ran a 12.7 @ 108.

I drove it and the torque of that thing just put you to your seat. Top end on the other hand didn't really do much for me. 6 speed F-bodies get around 25mpg DUE TO THE FACT that it has a really long 6 gear (1500rpm at 70mph). Its basically at idle on the freeway.

My best time in the 1/4 was 13.1 @ 111 on 10psi on a T28. I know I could take my cousin's Firebird from a roll, but not from a stop.

Hell, even a bolt on SR (intake, downpipe, exhaust, FMIC, 14psi) could take a SS with I/E from a roll. I was there when it happened

Yes super cars are nice but I still love my cast iron, aluminum headed KA

You know the ladies love the stock KA.

On a related note how much boost can a t-25 put out.
