An LS2 vette with I/H/E and maybe a reflash, was one of the funnest car's I've ridden in, that thing was hellacious. I work at a GM dealer and hardly ever do I hear anyone comming in complaining about the LSx motors. I'm not in here to crap on anyones parade I still have a turbo KA sitting on the stand not an LS1. Brian I do care to discuss that theory that a stock Auto is faster than a stock manual, it depends on who you have behind the wheel, some people are insane with those manuals.

Oh course how many women do you meet that even know what a KA is. Or, even a 240 for that matter.

Hmm. I might actually think about a t-25 rather than NA.

Thanks White Comet, oh yes and sonic does rule, yes he does.

Sonic sucks, and every girl knows that a guy who owns a KA has a much longer rod than that of an SR owner.

Yeah but most girls only like the big rods in conjunction with big turbo's, I mean these day's a big rod just isn't enough to get the job done.

Two things, this isn't Gen Chat fellas. It's a tech forum based on boosting the KAT. I'm a pretty proactive moderator and I don't want to see this forum turn into another area where threads go off topic all the time. I understand that off topic things happen all the time and I'm OK with that, but get back on topic when you can. Don't use this as your personal IM session. Cool? Good.

The second thing is for Logan or anyone else that is really interested in drag racing. A lot of import cars that have any decent amount of hp come with a manual transmission. This has led to the belief that the auto is worthless. This would be incorrect.

If I were to say the winner of a best of 5 average ET drag race gets 00 bucks, chances are the auto would win. Because the normal driver will either shift slower then a pro, or miss a gear. Where the auto will bang out consistent times that are only a touch slower then the best a manual can do with a pro behind the wheel. Does this make sense?

Also, with a scanner you can adjust line pressure and shift point for firm shifts at the best place YOU choose to have them. If you invest $650 or so you can get yourself a stall converter and launch well into the torque curve. If you have boost, you can launch at any boost level you want.

This is why the GN is so fast.

If you have a worked over transmission and a stall the auto will be faster then the manual.

No worries, I thought as much. I prefer the staff simply type *moved* when they move/edit something. Must have been over looked this time.

I agree with you totally Brian, when your doing bracket racing and not just head to head an auto 99% of the time will run more consistant times which really would be helpful when it comes time to dial your numbers in. I agree with the fact that an auto is more at home in the 1320, but to me just is boring and not near as fun to have on the street or any other kind or motorsport.

What's around the average 1/4 time for a low-boost ka? With a t3/t4 setup? Can't find much about it but I'd like to have an idea beforehand ya know? I'm setting my ka up for more efficiency up top as that's where it matters..

and btw what's up with this sr, I know it's got the z transmission and such but does anyone know of the engine mods?
