Ok guys, I finally got everything sorted out and went to the dyno today. Bear with me as I have a pounding headache right now.

Low boost, which is 11-12 psi made 352 hp and 335 lb/ft, this is on just plan ole 92octane.

High boost, 26psi made a awesome 533 hp and 418 lb/ft on a 70-30 mix of 92 and 110 octane. The car would have made more, but the clutch basically destroyed itself and for some reason the radiator came apart....so, back to the drawing board.

Ill get some sheets up as soon as I get the scanner to work.

Yea, I am a bit special, I am running on like 5 rockstars right now so deal with it.

Andrave, my entire setup is in my signature and at http://www.ka-t.org/rick

Ill be going to a Boostdesigns Intake manifold and Exhaust manifold soon, along with some more fuel and such, I should be close to 600.

Awesome numbers. I got an IM from Norbert and a phone call from Ryan today about it. It still amazes me that the KA takes to boost so well. I am sure that eventually people will realize that with a good tunable engine management system, the KA is reliable and will produce a TON of power. Now if we can only convince others to stay away from band-aid fuel systems (FMU, injectors / AFC, etc) so they dont blow their KA-Ts up, maybe this motor might not be looked at so unfairly.

Again, congrats.

Thanks Ivan,

Yeah, We made the 533 pass, and that was with very little timing, once Ralph made some adjustments on the map for fuel up top and timing past the torque peak, the clutch went sour on me. I suppose im doing pretty good because the clutch is a Spec stage 3 with a LOT of abuse on it. I am pretty sure that it is just basically worn out and not working. Remember the Spec Stage 3 is only supposed to hold something like what....325ft/lbs?

Sweet numbers man, I hope I come close to those when I finally get mine done. No 26psi for me though, 20 should be plllllenty.

your low boost numbers are almost sickening...i've never seen someone make that much power on only 111-12 psi. Great work, this is awesome. That thing should be just ridiculous on the street once you get it sorted out.

Fiznat, this car was built for a reason, to make power and go fast...besides...it has never run better than yesterday on the dyno.

congrats, even though i heard about it yesterday from ryan while i was at work.

im surprised the spec held. i suggest the clutchmaster stage 5. Duy has it also and retail is only $310, drives just like that stage 3. i know from personal experience

Nice #'s Rick. I say with an intake mani, new exh mani you might brake 600whp. One of the local DSM shops picked up 60WHP on an Eclipse with a custom intake mani running exactly the same setup as with the stock mani. And the Eclipse intake runners are no where near as long as the KA.All you need is the PRO Cams that JWT is working on for the KA and who knows....with a bit more boost 700WHP is in reach. Well unless the head lifts.

Said DSM didn't pick up 60 peak HP. It made 60 more well past the HP peak after the curve was coming back down.

Rick, You are an inspiration to me. Keep up the good work and I will be waiting patiently for your new SMIM, tubular manifold, & new clutch #'s.

Yeah, its going to be down the road, I have no question whatsoever that if the clutch would have held we would have been in the 550ish range. The clutch was slipping on EVERY run because boost with this turbo comes on SO hard the clutch just wouldnt take it. But it didnt, so I cant make excuses because we are extremely happy with the results!

I made a boo boo. The car made 37whp more than stock.

This is from their site.

"Mitsubishi engineered the stock intake manifold for the 4g63 to produce low to mid- range power. As testing showed, our manifold produced very comparable power in the low to mid range, making drivability exceptionally good; however, this manifold produces superior power in the high rpm range, giving you the drivability you need plus the power you want. Tested on a 364hp tune up, the manifold produced 37hp and 20ft. lbs. of torque over a stock manifold."

Thats low boost, but I think I ended up adding 1 or 2 points on the overall map to compensate.

Its a nice system, but the newer standalones have a lot more goodies, like injector trims, spark advance in specific cylinders, more crank enrich tuning capabilities etc. If i was going to switch I would probably go with the Speedpro (FAST) or the new one theyre making, which is called Big Stuff 3

Please allow me to jump in here, I have a few questions to pick at you.

First off, with 1.6 60's I see you're DEFINATLY getting the power to the ground. What tires are you running?

Actually, what Driveline are you running? I mean transmission, driveshaft, rear end, gear set, gear carrier, axles.. Are they all 240sx stock items?? I was of the impression that the stock rear end would only take about 350 foot pounds of torque before the pop?

Btw, Friggin killer times, I might actually turbo mine afterall!!! Thanks for letting me but in with some ?s.

Rick, what is it like driving a high-power S14? What were your first thoughts when you took it for a spin?
