Looks good. I like the valve cover.

One problem I see, though...

When you start boosting, you need route that pcv hose(the hose coming from valvecover to the coldpipe) to the intake... or at least put a breather on it. You DO NOT want pressurized air going into your valve cover. The purpose of the pcv breather is to release pressure from the crankcase all your setup would do is add pressure. That could cause problems.

Oh for sure man I know. This is just untill I hook my wastegate back up and actually boost. I don't plan on doing that though untill I hit the dyno.

On that day I'll be plugging up the line as close to the valve cover as I can.

Thanks though for pointing it out. If I did'nt know this it's nice to know there's so much help from everyone here. It really makes doing project's easier that's for sure.

Hey man.

No I have'nt. My buddy who helped me install and I can't find the reciept for the fitting names and what they were. Im gona do one more look though and promiss to let you know what I come up with.

Well I installed my CP Racing 4 point strut bar and my GReddy Type S today and I boosted! It was only between 3-5psi and I did'nt hold it there but it felt great. I still need my dyno tunning but over all I'm very happy nothing blew up,

So other then changing the last blue silicone coupling to a black one, some purple wire covers and an engine shampoo here is the almost finished product.

Considering I never did any of this stuff before, I'm actually quite pleased with how it all turned out.

side waz wrote:Yeah I'm really happy with the manifold but one thing I'll let all of you know and suggest if you get this. HAVE IT SLOTTED!!! When the first slot was done it sprung out, we're guessing because of the pressure it was under. The same thing happened with the other to slot cuts.

Having this done will greatly relieve the stress on the manifold and cut the chances of cracking way down. It now has some room to flex a little.
nice, i cant see the pics on the 1st page ...I'm also gathering parts for my ka-t t25 turbo setup..... I'm going with safac, 370s, safc2, fmic, ssa manifold, megan outlet/downpipe, 1g dsm bov(recirc), and apexi multi checker to watch my timing....

i have a questioon bout the slotting.....my friend bill did it to his manifold....but you say that once u slotted, it sprung? did this spring action effect the locations of the holes drilled for the studs? did it mount up correctly?...

well thats all, thanks manalso, if you have aim, msn, or yahoo messnger...i would like to chat 2 ya bout your project... hit me up for my screen names...thanks again...

Hey brother.

No it did'nt effect how it mounted up at all. As for the pic's on the first page, yeah I know the place I was hosting them from crashed and they were lost. The really crappy thing is I never saved them after hosting either.

Anway, drop me an email with your MSN and I would love to help you out if I can.

Well take care.

I'm hoping to have a detailed list emailed to my either today or tomorrow from my installer. If I get it, I'll post up the info for you and anyone else who may need it.

Hey, whats up, well iam going to be doing the same setup as you, ssa mani, t25 turbo, SR 370cc injectors, smic from a s13, 3inch downpie, and stock sr20 elbow, and apexi safc, well i have a few questions, 1.for the egr valve, what did you do with it?2.what did you mean, you took of the wastegate, did you just have the turbo in there, just letting it spin with the exhaust?3.for the o2 sensorwhat did you use, becauase i found out that the ka24de's o2 is a bigger one then the sr20's elbow, and last quesiton i had put in the sr injectors without having anything done to my car, and blew my headgasket, i switch everything back to stock, when i install the turbo kit with the injectorsis there anyway you can tell me the settings you have on the apexi, umm sorry i swear this is the last question, so if i install my mani, turbo, smic, pipings, and downpipe, with taking out the wastegate, would i ruin anything, could i hear the turbo spool, but of course not release, thanks a million

Well I never did hear back from my installer buddy so I'm gona try to see if I can explain my feed line in more detail. Now most of the fittings were bought at a Canadian Tire store in the automotive section. I'm sure if you go to a local NAPA or some other store you can get the same stuff.

Ok going from the feed line to the turbo here goes. The end of the SS feed line is male, a female/male connection attaches to it, then a female/male restrictor (not sure of the size but 1 1/16 sounds right), then a female/female compression fitting attaches to the restrictor. The 3/8's compression fitting is on the stock feed line on the turbo along with other part of the compression fitting that screws in to the female/female connection. Now at Canadian Tire there was a full 3/8's compression fitting set that had both of the connections and the comp fitting it's self so I'm sure a store by you would have the same thing.

As for the sending unit part, guys I'm sorry but I have no clue exactly what fittings were used. I know there's a fitting that screws in to the motor, then (I think) it's a British Standard fitting that attaches to that and the sending unit, then there's another fitting screwed to that and it attaches to the other end of the SS oil line. Oh, just make sure that for ALL these connections use either Teflon tape or some thread lock to ensure no oil will leak out and DO NOT over tighten the compression fitting (or any of the fittings for that matter) as you can crush them to the point that they will warp and thus, leak oil under pressure.

I'm not sure how much this is helping but I would suggest just taking your oil feed line and sending unit in to the store with you and start assembling it there so to speak. I REALLY wish I could give you guys exactly what fittings were used and so on but again, I never got the list that I mentioned earlier. If by some chance I do get it, I will post if for sure.

Hey Tx-Sx-FS, would you mind posting up all the pic's you saved on your computer of my install? I'm only talking about the ones I lost when the hosting site crashed. I would'nt mind having them back so if you could use the nico pic hosting and through them up, that would be sweet. I can then save them and keep them on my computer. Thanks brother.

Well take guys and let me know if there's anything else I can do. Hopefully I"ll also have dyno results to post up soon too.

Hey thanks man I appreciate it. If you could send all the pic's you have from the first page to [email protected] that would be perfect.

As for your fittings, sorry bout that I guess my warning came to late. It's probabley better just buying new fittings rather do anything with the old ones. Once something is stripped or warped it's not nearly as strong ever again. So make sure you just buy new fittings.

As far as the sending unit, if it's still under warrenty just get it replaced with a new one. If you must use the one that's damaged, just make sure you do it right or take it to a shop that will gurantee there work. Messing around with the oil system is not a good idea because I'd hate to see all your hard work blow up on you.

I'll keep on the look out for the pic's and thanks again. Let me know if there's anything else I can do to help.

Take care.
