Good God some of ya'll have some bad luck or something. Both my ka's are built, went right in, turbo'd with only minor issues(idle quality and bs like that), and my turbo'd ka 4x4 truck is almost finished, just waiting on my custom built radiator and taurus fan. Btw I can get brand new aftermarket taurus fans for 73.00 from a very reputable aftermarket vendor. GL to u sunny, maybe this one will be ur lucky number 8.

Bad tune equals blown motor...has nothing to do with bad luck.

Sunny needs to buy a Geo or somthing.

Not all his or florida's engine failures were related to tunes. Idk what I'd do if my oil pressure sender fell off my engine, that to me is bad luck even if it was operator error or not.

only blew 1 ka so far with t3 at 15psi on stock motor for 5000kms+ . emulated rom. sohc-t

But thats 2nd enthalpy tune with t28 that i am aware off that blew in 20psi range. Maybe his timing map is abit over the hill.

When i blow this ka gonna swap me srt4.1200whp here i come.

is 9:1 compression low enough to even run 16psi on 91octane with t28?

1 bar of boost plus T2 flanged turbo = stupid.

You guys running small turbo's need to look up exhaust reversion and the term...holy fvcking heat pump batman.

Blown pistons always equals a bad tune. They will easily hold 350rwhp all day with no knock.

Whatever you guys do, quit using up all the damn motors.

Hey some guys like their blow dryers on high heat. I second the stop using up so many ka's motion though. I'm going to buy a couple and store them because if everyone keeps blowing them up like they are we will have very few left in the near future. It'll be like civic si's, people will be stealing ur **** just to get the engine.

wd is right though ,more than 10psi or so and the ka is just past a t2's breathability. 16 is looking for issues with heat, are you gonna use meth/water on that much boost? lol as well with stop blowing all the ka's I blew one so far due to a lying arse temp cluster gauge.

thats just fine and dandy. But a t3/4 would have already made those numbers at say 10~11psi.... I run a t25 man calm down.

Mine (once IC is better new/fix current) will see 10psi daily and 12 for funtime, but I'll be adding something extra to the pot

i ran 2 top mount setups b4 with first being a t3/t4 57 trim .63 AR then a t04b 50 trim now a bottom mount gt28r. top mount setup had clearance issues on my car because it has ABS. i dont want to run a top mount anymore, so im trying to make the most power out of my existing turbo till i upgrade to a bigger turbo.

I'm with ya on getting the most from what you have..... I will top out around 10~11psi with my t25, hope it makes 220ish(I'd love to see 240trq though) I finally leak tested my IC today and you bet it had a couple, boost finally stays above 5psi lol. Now its time to tune the piss out of it see if it make what I'm wanting..... Try to make a t3/4 fit on the bottom or make a manifold that clears... best of luck on the new old motor

t3/t4 turbo is a great turbo, i just dont have the clearance. i would run another top mount any day, maybe after this bottom mount setup but the manifolds are so expensive and i dont want to get a log manifold like JGS.

you could flip the manifold like someone in the kat picture thread did, while at it shorten the runners to make clearance. my original plans were a t3/4 but funds and I'm just a cheap bastard(awsome deal came up so I went t25) played a big role in my setup, plus without knowing anything with this motors life I figured a t25 was plenty till I can afford to build the motor to handle slightly more boost. Plus I couldnt see spending too much on an unknown history block/head... However after sealing my boost leaks and raising the psi to 9today and seeing 11:1 a/f ratios I am thinking I should have went with a bigger turbo..

why against a log manifold, faster spool from what I gather. I like how they look opposed to s/s that is so tempermental.
