i know theres lots of variables but what do you think i could run in the queter mile with the nsport kit,or what kind of cars could i beat i.e. 97-02 z28 etc.im try to get an idea of how fast my car would be with the nsport turbo kit ,to see if its worth the 4,000 it would cost?

I dont have anything against helping newcommers, I just get a little bent out of shape when someone posts a question that has nothing to do with the thread and then when people say to use the search funtion, the noob gets all pissy. Anyways, no hard feelins.

Well, I didn't think you were being snotty ... just excited about your 240! Right? I will agree that new questions should be posted as a stand alone, but I really disagree with being rude to those who have a question and can't seem to get an answer. Were just all trying to get or give some info on these boards and I find it better just to help rather than scold. I would find it difficult to believe that we would be rude to each other if we were all sitting in a room together rather than hiding behind PCs. My opinions, take it or leave it.

Anyway, the "kit" in my picture is not an off-the-shelf kit. It is fully custom piping, exhaust manifold, right down to the injectors. The turbo itself is a Mitsubishi 25G (GReddy) and the intercooler is a spliced truck front mount with custom end tanks. A lot of work/research went into this system which was in a friend of mine's car, soon to be in mine (engine is out waiting for machining). The car dyno'd at 490whp, 475ft/lbs tq ... but I've got a few advantages over what he had that should push well over 500whp. :D

Have you tried to download the virtual engine program?? An S14 240SX weighing approximately 2820 lbs making approximately 240hp (Nsport Stage 1 estimates) will approximate 13.92 seconds @ 96.7mph in the 1/4 mile, not factoring the "variables" (... launch, shifts, weather, track conditions, etc. ...).

Is $4000 worth the money? The real questions are, "How fast do you want to go? How much can you afford?" ... You be the judge.

Hope this helps.

At about 13.5 your really getting faster than most stock cars. As my car sits right now at 14psi I can move away from a Viper that cruises around my town, and corvettes, camaros are no problem, although, watch out for firehawks...

Check out http://www.import-autoperformance.com also...Marc is a great guy to deal with and offers a kit that might be in line with what you are looking for, if not...you could put together just about anything you wanted through him. I'll tell you how his manifold looks IN PERSON in about a week when it shows up ;) As well as his oil lines etc. (I didn't get his whole kit, just bits and pieces)

Oh, By the way, I have an update on the videos, we finally got around to trying to get them done and we couldnt get any sound on them, we have to buy some special cord or something to hook up to the laptop, will try and get them tomorrow. We will also soon be making some kind of a compilation video about 10min long of me completely messing around drifiting, burnouts, in car vids, dragstrip runs, freeway runs, and stupid shiznit, which were going to start working on tomorrow.

Holyshiznit: Im going to woodburn on friday for the street legal drags, hit me up at [email protected]

no reason to descend to our level by making comments like those. i do apologize for coming off so rude but half of this could have been avoided had donovan actually taken 5 minutes just to try and figure out how the board works. someone even gave him a link to a virtual engine and then it was suggested he use the search function but instead he kept asking the same question over and over again even though it was explained to him more than once how to start his own thread. He was still given quite a bit of good info depsite the rude remarks I or anyone else may have made. I think ignorance is no excuse for repeatedly posting like donovan, but then again it doesn't matter what i think because i'm not a moderator. I am sorry for how i acted though.

1.91 60ft, which i run consistently. I get pretty rad tire hop and chatter off the line, which I DONT like, they are the gforce, and are now pretty much slicks.

It was a 2nd gen GSX, blew his doors off. Every car I raced, I beat by at least one full second or more, and all but one were v8's
