hey everyone, i did some looking around and i had a few questions, i was wondering if anyone knew the exact weight of the ka24de with transmission. i searched everywhere an i found a thread on nico but that only helped with the weight on the enigine not the whole set up. i was wondering if anyone knew because everywhere where i searched everyone gave diffrent answers and i didnt know which was the right one. im still thinking whether i should ka-t my engine or just throw a sr in there due to i heard that sr is aluminin and is lighter. thanks for helping any answers will great

102lbs for a short block, and 92lbs for a 5 speed trans.

Please note, that does not include manifolds, anything on the external engine, or the clutch and flywheel. So add 25-60 extra lbs.

Idk about those numbers. I can't see the trans being more then 80lbs because I can carry it pretty easily and I'm not the strongest lol

And from what I've heard around 350 also. I have a full KA torn down here maybe I'll weigh everything..

Yeah, if you searched the title of your own thread you'd find your answer:

trans is 90-95 lbs. (i forget now but i shipped one back in the day) either way the ka and sr use the same trans. ka-t requires skill.
