I don’t think there is a definitive source for the weight of the (S13) 240SX KA24DE engine. Having recently purchased a scale, I decided to get a definite answer. I took a few pictures of the engine from various angles so that everyone can see what components were weighed with the motor ( As complete as it could be). The motor was drained of all oil and coolant and there are no spark plugs or spark plug wires. That’s about it.

Nice to see some definitive numbers. There's a lot of speculation, and here-say around here about what the engines weigh.

Good job.

I actually ran around a quarter mile track with a kid hanging on my back that weighed over 230 pounds back in high school......my knees hated me for it. I feel so outta shape now, lol.

But on a side note, I quit ciggarettes! Yay!

I just quit too. I dont feel nearly as happy about it as you do though. My body seems to feel a bit better, but that could be in my head.

I was thinking around 350, so I was a bit light. I should have guess higher considering its cast iron.

I used to be able run 5 miles without any issues. After smoking for a few years straight, I was pretty winded after just 3. I don't think I ever want to start again, lol.

I've never seen it in a Nissan but its a cheap 6cyl to look into.

The BMW M52b28 only wieghs 396 fully loaded this kinda makes me want to do a BMW swap. It makes almost 200hp stock and you know it can take a turbo.

Antitheft can be bypassed the real question is dimensions
