How do you suppose? How did you account for the 4th and 5th position sensor on the manual transmission?

thats a good question, and what about the fuel maps that are based on a transmition with fewer gears, and what about the automatic transmition control unit, that would deffinetyl get a cel to turn on

======================================I could be wrong here but here goes anyway

no 4th/5th sensors then the engine would just think it was always in 1/2/3 gear and the limiter would never work

as for fuel maps I believe those are based on engine RPM and load-the ECU doesn't need to know what kind of transmission is there

and(SideWays=smiles) I don't mean this next part in a bad way...

but if you don't know how to spell there are many sites that can help you learn so you don't look completely incompetent-I mean really it comes across quite badly on this medium and there's no excuse because you obviously have internet access

Yes you can. I have a 96 automatic ECU in my 98 manual car, no check engine lights and no codes. You can't use a manual ECU for an auto car though.

Is there any advantage in this use?

No advantage at all.
